Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for operating a vehicle using dynamic speed limits. A vehicle can monitor current road conditions by capturing real-time data that is indicative of a driving environment associated with a roadway being traversed by the vehicle. Using the captured real-time data, the vehicle can predict a dynamic speed limit, wherein the dynamic speed limit is a driving speed for the vehicle that is adapted for the monitored current road conditions. Additionally, the vehicle can automatically perform a driving operation for the vehicle in accordance with the dynamic speed limit, wherein the driving operation causes the vehicle to move at a driving speed that is approximately equal to the predicted dynamic speed limit.

Abstract: A vehicle, method, and machine-readable storage medium for detecting a vehicle accident are provided. For example, the method includes accessing an accident profile associated with a second vehicle by a first vehicle, wherein the accident profile contains data indicating vehicle operating parameters during a prior vehicle accident; collecting current vehicle operating parameters from the first vehicle and the second vehicle, the current vehicle operating parameters being collected in real time; based on a comparison between the current vehicle operating parameters and the accident profile associated with the second vehicle, determining a probability of the future vehicle accident; determining a preventive action responsive to the probability of the future vehicle accident occurring; and when the probability of the future vehicle accident occurring exceeds a probability threshold, implementing the preventive action by controlling one or more of the operational systems of the first vehicle to change at least one of the current vehicle operating parameters.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing information about fuel stations. A system includes an imaging system and a profile management system. The imaging system is used for generating imaging data for a fuel station onboard a vehicle. The profile management system receives the imaging data. The profile management system identifies selected information for the fuel station based on the imaging data received. The selected information includes an identification of the fuel station, pricing information, and at least one of fuel inventory information, or business hours information for the fuel station. The profile management system updates a profile for the fuel station based on the selected information. The profile management system sends at least a portion of the profile for the fuel station to a target system.

Abstract: A vehicle and a method for the vehicle to detect a vehicle accident are provided. The method includes accessing at least one accident profile, wherein each accident profile contains information describing, for vehicles involved in a vehicle accident, data indicating vehicle operating parameters during the accident; collecting, in real time, data from the vehicle and at least one nearby vehicle, the data describing current vehicle operating parameters for the vehicles; comparing the data collected in real time with the at least one accident profile to determine a probability of a vehicle crash; and implementing preventive action responsive to the probability of a vehicle crash exceeds a probability threshold.
