    Abstract: : There is disclosed a process for preparing a 1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxamide represented by the formula: wherein, R1 and R2 represent independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or an aryl group, or both R1 and R2 represent an alkylene group linked with each other directly or through an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom to form a ring together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, which comprises subjecting an oxamohydrazide represented by the formula: wherein R1 and R2 have the same meanings as defined above, to reaction with formamidine or a salt thereof.

    Abstract: HYDANTOIN DERIVATIVES AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME Novel hydantoin derivatives disclosed in the present application are represented by the formula wharein, R1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an allyl group, a cyclohexyl group, a benzyl group or a group (where R2 is an alkyl group of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a halogen atom or a nitro group, and n is 0, 1, 2 or 3), X1 is an alkoxycarbonyl group of from 2 to 5 carbon atoms, a benzoyl group, an aliphatic acyl group of from 2 to 5 carbon atoms or a cyano group, and Y is an alkoxycarbonyl group of from 2 to 5 carbon atoms or an aliphatic acyl group of from 2 to 5 carbon atoms. The hydantoin derivatives are useful as agricultural chemicals or intermediates thereof. There is also disclosed a process for preparing the above-mentioned hydantoin derivatives.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and safely produce adiponitrile useful as a production raw material for hexamethylenediamine useful as a raw material for nylon 66 (an industrial resin) and as a raw material and intermediate for various chemicals in high yield. SOLUTION: The objective adiponitrile is produced by reacting 1-formyloxy-2- nitrosocyclohexane or 1-hydroxy-2-nitrosocyclohexane with formic acid and hydroxylamine preferably at 60-130 deg.C in liquid phase under normal pressure or positive pressure. Preferably, the amounts of the reagents are 1-5 times mol for hydroxylamine, 10-300 times weight for formic acid and 1-300 times weight for the reaction solvent (e.g. acetonitrile or formic acid) based on the 1-formyloxy-2-nitrosocyclohexane or 1-hydroxy-2-nitrosocyclohexane (in terms of monomer), respectively. The hydroxylamine is preferably used usually in the form of sulfate, hydrochloride, etc. The compound is easily separable from the system by distillation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To highly easily obtain the subject compound useful as a raw material for producing hexamethylenediamine, etc., in a high yield and in a high selectivity by reacting 1-formyloxy or hydroxy-2-nitrosocyclohexane with an inorganic base and hydroxylamine. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing 1,6-dioxyiminohexane comprises reacting (A) 1-formyloxy-2-nitrosocyclohexane or 1-hydroxy-2-nitrosocyclohexane with (B) an inorganic base such as the hydroxide, (bi)carbonate, etc., of an alkali(ne earth) metal and (C) hydroxylamine e.g. in amounts of 1-10 equivalents and l-5 equivalents, respectively, based on the component in terms of the monomer. The reaction is preferably performed in a reaction solvent such as a 1-4C aliphatic alcohol or water at 70-100 deg.C under the atmospheric pressure or an elevated pressure.
