Abstract: Una composición que comprende:un vehículo orgánico seleccionado de adhesivos, pinturas, imprimaciones, sellantes y epoxis; yun aditivo no carcinógeno que inhibe la corrosión, que comprendeun inhibidor de la corrosión a 5 nódica que es una sal de metal de transición;un inhibidor de la corrosión catódica que es un compuesto de metal de tierras raras; yun agente que compleja un metal para incrementar la solubilidad de por lo menos uno del inhibidor de lacorrosión anódica y catódica, en el que el agente que compleja al metal se selecciona del grupo que consiste encitrato, gluconato, tartrato, ß-dicetonatos, α-hidroxiácidos, D-fructosa, L-sorbosa y sus mezclas;en la que el aditivo está presente en una cantidad entre 5 y 12% en volumen y la cantidad mínima de inhibidor de lacorrosión anódica más inhibidor de la corrosión catódica es por lo menos 1% en volumen y el agente que complejael metal está presente en por lo menos una fracción molar de 0,1 del inhibidor combinado.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a zinc-diffused nickel alloy coating for corrosion and heat protection and to a method for forming such a coating. The coating method broadly comprises the steps of forming a plain nickel or nickel alloy coating layer (14) on a substrate (12), applying a layer of zinc (18) over the nickel or nickel alloy coating layer, and thermally diffusing the zinc into the nickel alloy coating layer. The coating method may further comprise immersing the coated substrate in a phosphated trivalent chromium conversion solution either before or after the diffusing step. The substrate may be a component used in a gas turbine engine, which component is formed from a steel material.
