Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixture for securing a workpiece. SOLUTION: This fixture for securing the workpiece is provided with a basic part, a plurality of positioning parts for receiving the workpiece, a plurality of arms 109, 111 attached to the basic part in a pivot part, and a lever 151 for driving the arms 109, 111 for the workpiece. The arms 109, 111 arrange the workpiece W for the positioning parts by facing forward. The fixture is a part of an electric discharge machine, which is further provided with a tank and a holder holding an electrode in the tank. The lever 151 actuates toward a front part of the tank. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixture of a rotisserie type usable for coating of various kinds of workpieces. SOLUTION: This fixture 10 includes a supporting structural part 12 rotating about the first shaft during coating and plural cassette members 14 disposed in the supporting structural part 12. The respective cassette members 14 hold the plural workpieces to be coated and are disposed in the supporting structural part 12 in such a manner that the cassette members 14 rotate about the axis parallel with the first shaft. The respective workpieces under the coating are rotated about their major axes by this constitution, by which the uniformly dispersed films substantially free from unequalness are formed on the surfaces of the workpieces to be coated.

Abstract: A modular fixture (14) for coating a plurality of workpieces comprises a first end plate (20) and a second end plate (22) spaced from said first end plate (20). A longitudinal axis (28) extends from the first end plate (20) to the second end plate (22). Means is provided for enabling said fixture to be rotated about a first axis (36) parallel to the longitudinal axis. A first arm (42) is attached to the first end plate (20) and first rotation means incorporated within the first arm (42) for allowing a first part to rotate about a second axis (56) at an angle relative to the first axis (36) and for allowing the first part to tilt relative to the first axis (36) while the first part is rotating about said second axis (56). A second arm (42) is attached to the second end plate (22) and second rotation means incorporated within the second arm (42) for allowing a second part to rotate about a third axis (56') at an angle relative to the first axis (36) and for allowing the second part to tilt relative to the first axis (36) while the second part is rotating about the third axis (56').
