    Abstract: A multirotor (MR) wind turbine (1) comprising a plurality of energy generating units (5) attached to a load carrying structure (3) carried by a tower via a main yaw assembly. The energy generating units (5) are attached to the load carrying structure via a local yaw assembly which allows yawing of the energy generating unit relative to the load carrying structure. To allow individual orientation of each energy generating unit, the MR wind turbine is configured to define an operational angle of each energy generating unit relative to an prevailing wind direction. This operational angle corresponds to a normal operational situation where the energy generating unit converts wind energy. The MR wind turbine is further configured to yaw each energy generating units to and from the operational angle individually by use of the local yaw assembly.

    Abstract: A method of yawing a nacelle in a wind turbine having a yawing assembly comprising a drive-ring and a plurality of drives configured to exert a torque during movement along the drive-ring and thereby move the nacelle relative to the tower. The drive-ring is made of drive-ring segments joined in intersections. The method comprises defining a location for each intersection, defining a reference torque exerted by the drives when moving along the drive-ring, defining a reduced torque being lower than the reference torque, determining when a crossing drive moves across the location of an intersection, and to increase the lifetime, exerting the reduced torque by the crossing drive.

    Abstract: Method of lifting a wind turbine part (58) at a wind turbine site (1, 2), the method includes: providing a lifting apparatus (60) and a wind turbine part (58) to be lifted; providing a shield (40); providing manipulation equipment (45) associated with said shield (40); and suspending said part (58) from said lifting apparatus (60); moving said part (58) by means of said lifting apparatus (68); the method further including holding said shield (40) proximate and upwind of said part (58) being lifted by means of said manipulation equipment (45). The shield (40) may be held proximate the part (58) being lifted such that it acts to reduce the ambient wind force incident on the part (58). Preferably the method may be implemented such that wind speed conditions (w) at the part (58) being lifted are lower than ambient wind conditions (W) at said site (1, 2). A kite-flying apparatus includes a power kite (40) and associated manipulation equipment (45), including cables (42, 44) at least one steering winch (28, 29), the winch being received in a winching module (26) including a ballast receiving fitment and a winch control system.
