    Abstract: A method for controlling a current injected to a power grid (2) from a renewable power plant (1), in response to a voltage event in the power grid (2), is disclosed. Occurrence of a voltage event in the power grid (2) is detected. At least a current at a point of common coupling (3) between the renewable power plant (1) and the power grid (2) is determined, and the determined current is provided to a power plant controller (4). The power plant controller (4) derives individual current setpoint corrections for at least some wind turbines (5) within the renewable power plant (1), based on the determined current, and dispatches each derived current setpoint correction to wind turbine controllers (6) of the corresponding wind turbines (5). The wind turbine controllers (6) control a current output of the respective wind turbines (5), based on measurements of current and/or voltage at a point of connection (8) between the wind turbine (5) and an internal grid (7) of the renewable power plant (1), and by taking the current setpoint correction dispatched from the power plant controller (4) into account.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a power plant during an event which requires a change of the power produced by the power plant, wherein the power plant comprises a plurality of power generating units including at least one wind turbine generator, the method comprises determining the power reference dependent on an available power (Pava), changing the power reference to a modified power reference (Pref_mod) by a power variation (ΔP) in response to detecting a first event, memorizing a power level relating to the actual power production at a time occurrence of the first event, setting a maximum power limit (Pmax) to the memorized power level, limiting the modified power reference (Pref_mod) to the maximum power limit (Pmax), and controlling the power produced by the wind turbines in accordance with the limited modified power reference.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relate to methods (200, 300) for controlling active power output of a wind turbine generator (14) in response to a frequency event on a power network (16) to which the wind turbine generator (14) is connected, wherein the active power output of the wind turbine generator (14) is limited to be below an upper active power limit and/or above a lower active power limit. The methods (200, 300) comprise determining and dispatching active power references to a controller (15) of the wind turbine generator (14) for controlling the wind turbine generator (14). The methods operate to ensure that the value of the active power reference immediately after the frequency event is within the allowable active power range, thereby avoiding any mismatch between the reference and the output that may cause a delay in returning to normal operation.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for damping harmonics of a power output of a power plant at a point of common coupling between the power plant and a utility grid, wherein the power plant comprises a plurality of energy production units. The method comprises determining an electrical characteristic at the point of common coupling; determining the electrical characteristic at an output terminal of each of the energy production units and dispatching a control signal to at least one of the energy production units to control the electrical characteristic at an output terminal of the respective energy production units. The control signal is based on the measurement of the electrical characteristic at the point of common coupling and arranged for damping the harmonic of the power output of the power plant at the point of common coupling, wherein the control signal is determined on the basis of a predetermined prioritizing sequence of said electrical characteristic.
