Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a heater for an automobile capable of rapidly supplying a heat into a vehicle by avoiding a dangerous heat transfer medium state like a steam bubble generation. CONSTITUTION: The heater for an automobile comprises a heat transfer medium circuit 9. The medium includes an at least one heat exchanger 14 attached with a vehicle heating fan 15, a heating unit 11 operated by fuel, a circulating pump 10 and a temperature sensor 17. A rotational speed of the pump is controlled by a controller 18 depending upon the medium temperature detected by the sensor. When the medium temperature is raised in at least a partial range of the heating operation, the controller 18 controls the speed of the pump 10 in response to the set temperature raising speed (temperature change per unit time) as a target value as compared with the actual value detected through the sensor 17.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent combustion gas from entering the interior of an automobile during the operation of a heating system for an automobile. CONSTITUTION: This system includes an auxiliary heater which can be operated independently of an engine of an automobile and is adapted to feed air for heating to the interior of the automobile, wherein a sensor 10 is disposed in the interior not to damage the health of an occupant in the interior and not to produce the danger for the life. The concentration of at least one component of air components in the interior is detected and monitored by the sensor 10. An evaluating device 11 is connected to the sensor 10, and when each concentration of air components in the interior detected and monitored by the sensor exceeds a preset limit value, the heater is automatically intercepted by the evaluating device 11, or is disabled to operate permanently. To be desirable, the oxygen concentration in the air and/or CO/CO2 concentration in the interior 2 of the automobile are detected by the sensor 10. Further, the evaluating device 11 is connected to alarm devices 15, 16 for generating an acoustic signal and/or an optical signal in a case where the detected concentration exceeds the preset limit value.
