    Abstract: An apparatus, method and printing machine that utilizes a ramped backer and/or a shock absorbing material in a cleaner subsystem to reduce or prevent photoreceptor motion quality disturbances.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or prevent a defect in the kinetic characteristic of a light receiving body caused by the impact between a cleaner spacer of the light receiving body and a backing member in a printer, etc. SOLUTION: The distance between a cleaner brush and the light receiving body (an image pickup surface, a belt, etc.), when the cleaner brush is moved in the direction of an arrow 105, is prescribed by a spacer wheel 100 and an inclined backing fixture 115. An impact absorbing material 180 prevents the instantaneous great impact force between the spacer wheel 100 and the inclined backing fixture 115, which may cause the defect in the kinetic characteristic of the light receiving body. The inclined backing fixture 115 gradually reduces the speed of the spacer wheel 100 by the inclination structure of the fixture 115. Therefore, the defect in the kinetic characteristic caused by the vibration of the light receiving body due to the impact when contact occurs is prevented. Thus, sudden speed reduction of the spacer wheel 100 with respect to the backing fixture 115 is prevented. Both of the impact absorbing material and the inclined backing fixture are used to provide a more suitable state.
