Abstract:
A scorotron (10) used in xerography is connected to a voltage source within a printing apparatus through a pin (40). The pin (40) is anchored in an insulative end block (28) which defines channels (30,32,34) therein, each channel enclosing a portion of a corona member (20,22,24) which extends the length of the scorotron (10). Each corona member (20,22,24) defines a specially-shaped opening (21,23), the openings (21,23) of a plurality of corona members (20,22,24) being aligned to accept the pin (40) therethrough. A cover block (42) is placed over the end block (28) to complete the enclosure of the portions of the corona member (10). The cover block (42) also defines a collar (44) which surrounds a portion of the pin (40), and lugs (46) on which a screen of the scorotron (10) is mounted.

Abstract:
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved auger driving element which is mounted on a toner cartridge for printer and used for a waste toner carrying auger. SOLUTION: The replaceable toner cartridge for printer is equipped with the waste toner carrying auger which is driven by a drive gear of the printer to freely rotate. The auger is equipped with the drive element 60 engaging the drive gear of the printer. The drive element 60 is equipped with drive paddles 84 which extend radially from an auger shaft. Each drive paddle 84 has a radial paddle face 86 extending radially from a drive main body 82 to the end part of the drive paddle 84. As the slanting paddle face 86 slides along an engagement end of the driving gear, the drive element 60 rotates, so the drive paddle 84 slides in a specified engagement space to engage the drive gear. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for connecting a charging device such as a corotron or a scorotron to a voltage source within a machine. SOLUTION: The end of the charging device which can be used in a printing apparatus, for example, the scorotron 10 is constituted of an end block 28 and a cover block. Channels 30, 32 and 34 nearly enclosing a portion of a corona member 20, 22 or 24 are provided in the end block 28 respectively. The corona members 20, 22 and 24 have opening 21, 23 or 25 respectively, and a conductive pin 40 is firmly fixed on the end block 28 by meshing with the openings 21, 23 and 25. The cover block is built into the end block 28 so as to nearly cover over the channels 30, 32 and 34 in the end block 28. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
