In one example, a fluid spraying device includes a chassis, a plurality of wheels connected to the chassis, a spray tip assembly connected to the chassis, and a hopper mounted on the chassis. The hopper is in fluid communication with the spray tip assembly and is configured to be oriented in an upright draining position for draining fluid from the hopper. The hopper includes a bottom side, a top side opposite the bottom side and including an aperture configured to receive and drain the fluid, and a side wall extending at an obtuse angle away from the bottom side to the top side adjacent the aperture to facilitate draining of fluid when the hopper is in the upright draining position.

Adhesive application apparatus and methods are disclosed herein. An example adhesive application apparatus includes a spray assembly to apply a quantity of mixed adhesive to a designated spray area of a panel. The spray assembly has a spray boom to support a spray nozzle and an adhesive mixing chamber. The adhesive mixing chamber is coupled to the spray assembly upstream from the spray nozzle. A first fluid path provides a first adhesive component to the adhesive mixing chamber and a second fluid path provides a second adhesive to the adhesive mixing chamber.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Düse (1) zur Applikation eines Auftragsmittels, insbesondere zur Applikation von Wachs bei einer Nahtabdichtung oder zur Applikation eines Konservierungsmittels bei einer Hohlraumkonservierung an einem Karosseriebauteil, mit einer langgestreckten hohlen Lanze (4) zur Zuführung des zu applizierenden Auftragsmittels durch die Lanze (4) hindurch entlang ihrer Längsachse (17), sowie mit mindestens einer Düsenöffnung (10, 11) zur Abgabe des Auftragsmittels, wobei die Düsenöffnung (10, 11) in der Mantelfläche der Lanze (4) angeordnet ist und das Auftragsmittel bezüglich der Längsachse (17) der Lanze (4) seitlich abgibt. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Düsenöffnung (10, 11) um die Längsachse (17) der Lanze (4) drehbar ist, so dass das Auftragsmittel entsprechend der Winkelstellung der Düsenöffnung (10, 11) in verschiedene Richtungen abgegeben werden kann.

A self cleaning header assembly for use within a spray application system includes a plurality of spray guns for spraying a mix of air and liquid, e.g., an adhesive, and comprises a cleaning mechanism including one or more wash nozzles and a shroud. During a cleaning cycle, the shroud is closed and the spray guns rotate to approach the wash nozzles. The wash nozzles apply pressurized liquid, e.g., water, to the spray gun nozzles to remove excess adhesive that may affect the spray pattern and flow. After the washing cycle is complete, the spray guns are rotated to again face the target of interest and the shroud is reopened.
