Abstract:
A device for the carburation of a fluid fuel, in particular petrol and for mixing with air. The device can be well used as a carburettor for gasoline engines. The essence of the carburettor according to the invention lies in that it has a charging pipe and one end thereof penetrating into the inside of the jet pipe is provided with slots, while the other end is connected to the moving organ of the linear motor, at the same time it is connected to the working space of the linear motor via a throttle organ and said working space communicates via a further throttle organ with the environment. The charging pipe is connected to a mixing channel, the lower part of which is communicating with the tank via a throttle organ, while the mixing pipe having been arranged therein and provided with the side-bores is communicating with the ambient atmosphere.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
A gas/air mixer assembly (10) provides a venturi metering system that may draw fuel from a zero governor and mix it with air to form a homogenous gas/air mixture for delivery to an internal combustion engine. The gas/air mixer assembly may also accept fuel under pressure from a gas metering valve (20) or fuel injector for delivery to an internal combustion engine. The mixer includes an air horn (18), the relative position of which in relation to a shaped restriction body (26) governs the air flow into the engine intake manifold. The flange of the air horn (18) is configured to redirect the flow of air without generating significant turbulence, and providing a maximum velocity perpendicular flow to the injection of fuel to be mixed therein. The relative position of the air horn (18) to the shaped restriction body (26) is determined based on the cubic capacity and speed of the engine with which it is used.

Abstract:
A turbocharger control system utilized in a carburetor system including a carburetor having an air-fuel induction passage, a fuel supply passage supplying fuel to the air-fuel induction passage, and a turbocharger having a compressor impeller compressing an air-fuel mixture flow delivered to an engine intake manifold. The control system includes an air control valve which is positioned between a surge tank in the intake manifold and an air induction passage connected with the fuel supply passage and which controls an air bleeding amount supplied to the air induction passage in response to changes in pressure of the surge tank.
Abstract:
An atmospheric pressure compensation device has a reed valve of a resiliently bendable sheet material extending over a flat valve seat which defines therein an opening leading to an air passage to be connected to an air bleed of a carburetor, for example. The angular position of the freely bendable end portion of the reed valve relative to the valve seat is varied by a bellows member which is expansible and contractible in response to variation in the atmospheric pressure, to thereby control the rate of air flow through the opening and the passage to the air bleed. A fulcrum member is disposed in engagement with the reed valve to urge the same against the valve seat. The point of engagement of the fulcrum member with the reed valve is variable along the length thereof to vary the freely bendable length of the reed valve.
Abstract:
An air-fuel ratio control device characterized by the fact that an electromagnetic valve which controls the air bleed quantities for both high- and low-speed fuel systems simultaneously has a pin inserted in a valve disc so as to prevent the rotation of the valve disc but allow it to move axially for open-close operation, so that the valve disc and the seat always contact at the same contacting portion and maintain a perfect seal therebetween. This enables an accurate control of the air bleed quantitiy and therefore of the air-fuel ratio.
