Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ink composition containing fine particles having an amino group on surfaces thereof. According to the invention, there can be provided an ink composition which prevents volatilization or bleedout of an amine compound to cause no discharge of the amine compound into the environment and is also excellent in curability. Further, there can be provided an ink composition which is excellent in curing efficiency, surface curability and internal curability, and can prevent the occurrence of cracks.
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a radiation-curable white inkjet ink and, more particularly, to a radiation-curable inkjet white ink comprising a specified titanium dioxide with at least two dispersants. The first is an acidic polyester dispersant and the second is an acrylic structured copolymer dispersant. Ink sets containing the white inks are also described.
Abstract:
A substrate processing apparatus is provided with five inspection devices that perform inspections of different kinds to a substrate. Among the five kinds of inspections, the film quality is measured after resist coating, and before post-coating heat-treatment. As the film quality, the amount of solvent remaining in a resist film is measured. The film thickness is measured after heat-treatment following resist coating and before exposure. Meanwhile, the line width and the superposition precision are measured and macroscopic defect inspection is performed after post-development heat-treatment and before the substrate is returned to an indexer.
Abstract:
A process for the continuous dip-coating of a metal strip (1) in a tank (11) containing a liquid metal bath (12), in which process the metal strip (1) is made to run continuously through a duct (13), the lower part (13a) of which is immersed in the liquid metal bath (12) in order to define with the surface of the bath a liquid seal (14). A natural flow of the liquid metal from the surface of the liquid seal (14) is set up in two overflow compartments (25, 29) made in the duct (13) and each having an internal wall which extends the duct (13) in its lower part, and the level of liquid metal in the compartments is maintained at a level below the surface of the liquid seal (14). A plant for implementing the process.
Abstract:
A process for the production of coaxial and confocal mirrors having grazing incidence consists essentially of a support element or a carrier made of ceramic material, a layer reflecting X-rays and intermediate layer which is a buffer and which avoids the transfer of the rough surface of the carrier or support element to the reflecting layer. The support element or carrier is prepared by deposition involving the spraying of the ceramic material in the form of plasma (plasma spray deposition).
Abstract:
Air bubbles which are entrapped within the cells of an engraved applicator roller are displaced from the cells by wiping the surface of the engraved applicator roller with the bristles of a brush. An elongated brush mounted on a doctor blade head projects into a doctor blade reservoir. The bristles of the brush are disposed for wiping engagement against the engraved surface of an applicator roller which is wetted by liquid coating material. As the engraved applicator roller rotates in contact with the liquid material in the doctor blade reservoir, the bristles of the brush puncture the entrapped air bubbles and sweep the entrapped air away from the cells. The sweeping action of the bristles induces a relatively low pressure condition within the cells, which promotes the flow of liquid material into the cells. The elongated brush, which extends from one end of the doctor blade head to the other, serves as a baffle which blocks the transfer of dispersed air bubbles from the liquid material in the upper reservoir chamber above the brush to the lower reservoir chamber below the brush where the cells are being filled.
Abstract:
An ophthalmic lens and a method for providing a thin coating thereon is disclosed. The coatings render the surfaces of the devices resistant to abrasion and have an SEB abrasion resistance of at least 20 psi. They are optically clear, aberration-free, and provide essentially exactly an optical surface having the desired surface configuration. The coating compositions employed contain reactive ethylenically unsaturated groups and are applied to a mold face and partially reacted. The coated mold is then used to cast the ophthalmic device.
