Abstract: A system for disinfecting an enclosed space includes a housing, ultraviolet (UV) emitters, a sensor to detect occupancy in or entry into an enclosed space, a UV directing mechanism, and a controller. The housing includes an air flow passageway. When the UV directing mechanism is in the closed state, the UV emitters are positioned in the air flow passageway and transmission of UV electromagnetic radiation into the enclosed space is substantially blocked. UV electromagnetic radiation is transmitted into the enclosed space when the UV directing mechanism is in the at least one open state. Disinfection operations can be activated when the UV directing mechanism is in the open state or the closed state. When the UV directing mechanism is in the open state, the disinfection operation is activated when the sensor indicates no occupancy in or no entry into the enclosed space.

Abstract: A furniture cleaning management system (FCMS) for a furniture affordance includes an indicator for indicating a state of the furniture affordance, a sensor option generating a signal indicating that the furniture affordance has been cleaned, and a processor receiving the trigger signal from the sensor option and causing the indicator to indicate that the furniture affordance is a cleaned state. The state of the furniture affordance indicated by the indicator may be selected from the cleaned state and a needs cleaning state. The processor may cause the indicator to indicate that the furniture affordance is in the needs cleaning state according to a schedule of furniture affordance occupancy, a schedule of furniture affordance cleaning, or as a consequence of sensing a user occupancy state at the furniture affordance.

Abstract: An integrated radiation sensor is disclosed. The integrated radiation sensor comprises a first optical filter associated with a first radiation-sensing element and a second optical filter associated with a second radiation-sensing element. The first optical filter is configured to pass radiation to the first radiation-sensing element with wavelengths within a UV-C range. The second optical filter is configured to pass radiation to the second radiation-sensing element with wavelengths longer than wavelengths within the UV-C range. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing the integrated radiation sensor and methods of use of the integrated radiation sensor.

Abstract: An excimer bulb assembly including an excimer bulb and a. pass filter such that the excimer bulb assembly does not emit substantial UV radiation in wavelengths longer than 231nm, 232nm, 233nm, 234nm or 235nm. The wavelengths are measured at an incident angle of zero (0) degrees to the filter plane. The pass filter is preferably constructed of a. plurality of layers of hafnium oxide, and most preferably constructed of less than seventy five (75) layers of hafnium oxide. The excimer bulb, pass filter, and two electncal connectors may be adapted to form a cartridge which may be adapted, to swivel along its main axis. The cartridge may further include a smart chip. The smart chip may retain and store information regarding the assembly and preferably retains hours of use of the excimer bulb.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring a condition of a switchgear. The switchgear (200) comprises a housing (210) on which an inspection window (250) is fitted. The system (100) comprises an optical sensing unit (110) arranged to be proximate to the inspection window and outside the housing, the optical sensing unit comprising at least one optical sensor configured to detect optical signals from an object (240) inside the housing through the inspection window and output at least one characteristic parameter of the object based on the detected optical signals; and a controlling unit (120) communicatively connected with the optical sensing unit to receive the characteristic parameter, the controlling unit being configured to determine a condition of the switchgear based on the at least one characteristic parameter. The at least one optical sensor is configured to detect the optical signals in a working wavelength range which corresponds to the transmission wavelength range of the optical material forming the inspection window.
