Abstract: A lightweight modular bed includes a bed frame unit, a first retaining unit, a second retaining unit, a supporting web unit, a vibration motor, and a cover patch. The first and second retaining units are coupled to two lateral portions of the supporting web unit to permit a web body of the supporting web unit to be fully stretched. A peripheral margin of the cover patch is secured to a boundary of a predetermined mounting region of the web body to permit a motor body of the vibration motor to be disposed therebetween. When the web body is fully stretched, top and bottom surfaces of the motor body are brought into abutting engagement with the cover patch and the predetermined mounting region, respectively.

Abstract: A modular patient support system for use in ambulating a patient across a floor, comprising a primary module and a secondary module. The primary module has a primary base and a primary deck arranged for movement relative to the primary base, and the primary deck defines a first patient support area. The secondary module has a secondary base adapted for movement along the floor relative to the primary base and a secondary deck arranged for movement relative to the secondary base. The modular patient support system is operable between a docked configuration where the secondary deck cooperates with the primary deck to define a second patient support area larger than the first patient support area, and an undocked configuration where the secondary module is spaced apart from the primary module to facilitate ambulation concurrent with the secondary module across the floor away from the primary module.

Abstract: A smart powered rocking bed is disclosed comprising a plurality of vertical and horizontal actuators in contact with a rocking frame configured to receive the rocking bed, the electronic actuators configured to act together to rock the bed in three dimensions. A smart powered rocking bed system further includes a health care database, a discrete personal digital device such as a cell phone and health care telemetry sensors placed on or in a user thereof.

Abstract: The proposed method is intended for rhythmic stimulation of neurotrophic reflexes to simultaneous stretching of muscles in various sections of spine, joints of limbs and in the main muscles of a human body. The aforesaid method can be implemented by employing an exercise machine that provides for mechanical anti-phase oscillations of lodgments affecting various sections of the body and limbs without considerable movements of the neck-and-head lodgment in the vertical direction. The upper body and the lower limbs make in-phase reciprocal movements, while the pelvic area makes movements anti-phase relative thereto. A support for the neck-and-head part is installed to allow supporting natural movements of the head in the course of the aforesaid movements of the upper body. The design of the exercise machine is described in detail herein.
