Abstract:
An infant mattress assembly includes a box spring that is positionable on a bed frame for supporting the box spring above a floor. A mattress is attached to the box spring and an air chamber is integrated within the mattress. A plurality of vibration units is each attached to the mattress thereby facilitating the plurality of vibration units to vibrate air within the air chamber to soothe the child sleeping on the mattress. A heating element is integrated into the mattress for heating the mattress when the heating element is turned on to warm the child. A control unit is integrated into the box spring and the control unit is in remote communication with a personal electronic device thereby facilitating the personal electronic device to remotely control the vibration and the heating element.
Abstract:
A portable heated massage bed assembly for heating and massaging the user includes a right frame and a left frame being attached together by a pair of hinges. The pair of hinges positions the right frame and the left frame in an open and closed position. A pair of bases is positioned upon a respective one of the right frame and the left frame. A plurality of heating coils is positioned upon a respective one of each of the bases. A pair of mattresses is positioned upon a respective one of each of the bases. Furthermore, a plurality of massaging units is integrated within the pair of mattresses. A pair of mattress covers enwrapping a respective one of the pair of mattresses. A control panel is connected with the plurality of heating coils and the plurality of massaging units. Additionally, a pair of stands supports the left and right frames.
Abstract:
This body balance correcting apparatus is capable of improving blood circulation, skeletal balance and the like from the inside of the body by oscillating the body of a user, and includes an oscillation panel which supports the user in a recumbent position, a support device which supports the oscillation panel so as to enable the oscillation panel to oscillate in the in-plane direction, a drive device which oscillates the oscillation panel in the axial direction of the body of a user, and a controller which controls the acceleration and deceleration of the oscillation by the drive device. The oscillation panel can be adjusted to oscillate at an amplitude in the horizontal direction with respect to the support device in a range of about 0 to 6 cm and within 15 cm and with a cycle in a range of about 0.5 to 2.0 seconds, and by adjusting the acceleration and deceleration of the oscillation of the oscillation panel by the control order from the controller, blood circulation and skeletal balance can be improved from the inside of the body of the user.
Abstract:
A lightweight modular bed includes a bed frame unit, a first retaining unit, a second retaining unit, a supporting web unit, a vibration motor, and a cover patch. The first and second retaining units are coupled to two lateral portions of the supporting web unit to permit a web body of the supporting web unit to be fully stretched. A peripheral margin of the cover patch is secured to a boundary of a predetermined mounting region of the web body to permit a motor body of the vibration motor to be disposed therebetween. When the web body is fully stretched, top and bottom surfaces of the motor body are brought into abutting engagement with the cover patch and the predetermined mounting region, respectively.
Abstract:
A modular sleep apparatus that enables customization of a conventional mattress. The modular sleep apparatus includes a customizable mattress pad casing having pockets into which various inserts may be placed. The more the number of pockets, the greater customization the mattress pad allows. The inserts themselves can be of varying thickness, firmness, and material. In some embodiments, the inserts may also be placed directly over a conventional mattress and held in place with a fitted sheet. In other embodiments, the inserts are placed directly into pockets or envelopes in the top layer of a mattress. In other embodiments, the mattress pad casing is pre-assembled with inserts.
Abstract:
A trigger point therapy device for applying pressure to a localized area of myofascial tissue that is accessed from the exterior of a patient's body. The therapy device includes a base portion has top and bottom surfaces that define a width dimension for the base portion. The therapy device also includes a pressure applicator that is connected to the base portion. The device allows an equivalent amount of pressure to be applied while the patient is lying on a soft surface as compared to lying on a hard surface. This increases the length of time that a patient will can comfortably use the device and promotes usage of the device by the patient. A method includes placing the device on a soft surface and positioning a patient on the soft surface to place the pressure applicator in engagement with the localized area of myofascial tissue.
Abstract:
In one example, we describe a method and system for infant's development, which is a disc system, with various combinations and extensions. The brain is the only organ that constantly reorganizes itself based on experiences or lack thereof. Babies are born with millions of neurons. Through a process called “pruning”, certain ‘circuits’ are fine-tuned through repeated practice and stimulation. This occurs from birth, throughout early childhood. The purpose of the SensiMo Disc is to provide an infant, e.g., typically, up to the 25 lbs. and/or 29 inches long, sensorimotor stimulation, while lying in a prone or supine position, with minimal active movement of the head or extremities. As the child lays supine or proneon, on the SensiMo disc, the child's tactile, vestibular, and proprioceptive systems are stimulated. This helps develop the child's sensorimotor system. Many other variations and combinations, plus advantages, are discussed.
Abstract:
An adjustable air bladder apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes an outer enclosure, a first interior section within the outer enclosure that contains a plurality of air bladders, a second interior section within the outer enclosure that contains a support layer, and an air pump pneumatically coupled to the plurality of air bladders, where the air pump is configured to selectively supply pressurized air to the air bladders independently through a pneumatic coupling. The pneumatic coupling includes one or more supply valves, outlet valves, and pressure sensors coupled to each air bladder or to one or more groupings of air bladders. A control device is provided for monitoring the pressure within the air bladders and for controlling an amount of air provided to or released from the bladders or groupings of bladders. A method of providing rolling massage with the apparatus is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A patient support apparatus includes a patient support structure, such as a bed frame or mattress or both, that is configured to support a patient in a recumbent position. The patient support structure is configured to provide at least one therapy to a patient. A therapy enabler token is coupleable to the patient support structure. The at least one therapy is disabled when the therapy enabler token is decoupled from the patient support structure and the at least one therapy is enabled in response to the therapy enabler token being coupled to the patient support structure.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an adjustable bed handheld remote control that may include a handheld housing, a touch sensor on a front face of the handheld housing, a transmitter and the like. The touch sensor may be presented in a slider form and may be adapted to facilitate a user in adjusting a frame position of an adjustable bed. The transmitter may be electrically coupled to a processor and may receive input from the touch sensor, for communication control signals to the adjustable bed in accordance with the input received from the touch sensor.
