A spatio-temporal random voting scheme is provided that incorporates location distribution, spatial randomness, and temporal randomness in the collection of information from a plurality of sensing devices within the cognitive network. The region is divided into a plurality of sectors, where each sector is a portion of the region. A subset of sectors is selected from the plurality of sectors in the region to provide spatial randomness. A device is randomly selected from each sector in the subset of sectors to provide additional spatial randomness to the information collection process. Temporal randomness may be introduced by randomly selecting a timeslot within a sensing window period in which devices are to scan a frequency spectrum band to determine if a signal energy above a threshold is detected. Sensing reports are then collected from the selected sensing devices and used to determine whether the frequency spectrum band is available or in use.

A mobile terminal is provided having an radio frequency identification (RFID) function and includes an antenna which transmits and receives a radio signal; a radio frequency identification matching circuit which changes an operating band of the antenna to a frequency band where an RFID radio signal is input and output; a communication module which processes a mobile communication radio signal transmitted and received via the antenna; and a switch which connects the antenna to either the communication module or the RFID matching circuit according to whether an RFID function is used or not. Accordingly, the compactness of the mobile terminal can be realized, and the RFID communication performance can be enhanced.
Abstract:
Provided are methods and systems for monitoring a state of a plasma chamber. In the method, an optical characteristic of plasma generated in a plasma chamber including a window is measured in a predetermined measurement wavelength band. A process status index (PSI) is extracted from the measured optical characteristic. A state of the plasma chamber is evaluated by analyzing the extracted PSI. The optical characteristic of the plasma is measured in the predetermined measurement wavelength band in which a transmittance of light passing through the window is substantially independent of a wavelength of the light.

An inverted F antenna (IFA) which reduces specific absorption rate (SAR) includes a ground; an auxiliary radiator which is attached to one end of the ground and disposed along a plane direction of the ground; a radiator which lies at an interval from the auxiliary radiator in parallel and radiates electromagnetic waves; a feed which supplies current to the radiator; and a short which interconnects the radiator with the ground and discharges the current to the ground. Accordingly, the SAR can be decreased and the antenna size can be miniaturized.

A small ultra wideband (UWB) antenna designed to have a unidirectional radiation pattern is disclosed. The UWB antenna includes a substrate; a power feeding part, provided on an upper surface of the substrate, for receiving a supply of an external electromagnetic energy; a dipole radiator excited by the electromagnetic energy fed through the power feeding part and radiating electromagnetic waves in one and the other directions of the substrate; and an active loop radiator excited by the electromagnetic energy fed through the power feeding part, respectively enhancing and canceling the electromagnetic fields produced in one or the other directions of the substrate by the dipole radiator.

An antenna having a band rejection filter. The antenna includes: a radiator formed of a single plate, a grounding part formed of a single plate, a dielectric substrate including a surface on which the radiator is attached and another surface on which the grounding part is attached, and the band rejection filter connected to an end of the radiator. The band rejection filter includes a first capacitor connected to a signal line in parallel, a resonator including an end connected to the first capacitor in parallel and another end grounded, and a second capacitor including an end connected to the first capacitor in series and another end connected to the radiator in series. The resonator includes an inductor and a third capacitor connected to the inductor in series. As a result, the antenna may remove a frequency lower than an ultra wide band pass.

The present invention which relates to a data communication system and method of performing a data service according to a request of a calling party provides processing a data call by subdividing the voice call processing scheme of a mobile switching center depending on whether or not the called party is registered and by inducing a call to be connected to (as) a data call prior to upon processing a voice call. In other words, when a call is originated from any calling party, if a called party is registered with the CPDS as its user, the mobile switching center processes the call as a data call and transmits the information and contents registered by the called party to induce a data communication, and if the called party is not registered with the CPDS as its user, the mobile switching center processes the call as a voice call to induce a speech call. Another embodiment of the present invention enhances the convenience of the calling party by inducing a call to be connected to a data call prior to voice call processing, through a method in which the voice call processing scheme of a mobile switching center is subdivided according to whether or not the calling party is registered with the CPDS and an application program (application) stored in the calling party's terminal is executed. In other words, when a call is originated from a calling party, if he or she is registered with the data service, then the mobile switching center executes an application which is already stored in his or her terminal at the time of registration of service being effected to have the calling party select and utilize the information and contents that are registered by the called party on the application screen of the calling party's terminal, or request a speech call.

Provided is a method for preparing a compound semiconductor substrate. The method includes coating a plurality of spherical balls on a substrate, growing a compound semiconductor epitaxial layer on the substrate coated with the spherical balls while allowing voids to be formed under the spherical balls, and cooling the substrate on which the compound semiconductor epitaxial layer is grown so that the substrate and the compound semiconductor epitaxial layer are self-separated along the voids. The spherical ball treatment can reduce dislocation generations. In addition, because the substrate and the compound semiconductor epitaxial layer are separated through the self-separation, there is no need for laser lift-off process.
