Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a dynamic indication of a start offset and a length of a discontinuous reception (DRX) on duration. The UE may monitor, during the DRX on duration, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for a message scheduling an initial transmission in a burst of transmissions, wherein the PDCCH is monitored in a reduced monitoring state at a start of the DRX on duration. The UE may stop monitoring of the PDCCH after a final transmission in the burst of transmissions. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication of an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may receive, from a base station, at least one SSB. The apparatus may also determine a RSRP of the at least one SSB. Additionally, the apparatus may transmit, to the base station if the RSRP of all of the at least one SSB is less than a threshold, an indication of a reduced UE capability of the UE during a RACH procedure. The apparatus may also transmit, to the base station if the RSRP of one of the at least one SSB is greater than or equal to the threshold, the indication of the reduced UE capability of the UE after entering into a RRC connected state upon completion of the RACH procedure.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a payload for inclusion in an uplink transmission. The UE may organize the payload into a code block group (CBG) that includes one or more code blocks (CB). The UE may map each CB of the CBG to a corresponding uplink shared channel resource unit (e.g., a physical uplink shared channel resource unit) of an uplink transmission occasion of the first UE. The uplink transmission occasion may also be shared with one or more additional UEs such that the CBG of the first UE is multiplexed with additional CBGs from the additional UEs. The UE may transmit, to a base station, the uplink transmission including each uplink shared channel resource unit on which the CBG is organized.

The apparatus can also receive the MsgB of the two-step RACH procedure, where the MsgB includes a fallback indication including a fallback RAR. Further, the apparatus can retransmit the payload of the MsgA when the MsgB including the fallback indication is received.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. According to one or more aspects, a device, such as a user equipment (UE), may establish a primary cell (PCell) connection and a secondary cell (SCell) connection which may trigger a power headroom (PHR) report and initiate a timer for PHR reporting based on the triggering. The UE may configure a bandwidth part (BWP) associated with the SCell connection to operate in a first dormancy state. The UE may receive an indication to configure the SCell BWP to operate in a second dormancy state and may switch the SCell BWP operations to the second dormancy state. The UE ay determine a status of the timer for PHR reporting and may determine whether to transmit a PHR report based on the status of the timer and the indication to switch the BWP operations.

Abstract: Wireless communication devices, systems, and methods related to handling user equipment's (UE's) failure to receive a timing advance (TA) command from a base station during in a two-step random access procedure are provided. For example, a method of wireless communication can include transmitting a first random access channel (RACH) message (e.g., msgA); monitoring for a second RACH message (e.g., msgB) from the BS including a timing advance (TA) command; performing a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) procedure on the second RACH message; and performing, when the HARQ procedure on the second RACH message fails, at least one of: starting a new RACH procedure or triggering a radio link failure (RLF).
