    Abstract: An automatic external cardiac massage (ECM) device has a sternum compressing element and a mechanism for imparting force to the sternum compressing element, and a controller controls movement of the sternum compressing element. A position/angle altering mechanism may dynamically alter at least one of an x-y position and stroke angle of the sternum compressing element, such as during performing ECM. The force, distance, rate and duty cycle of the sternum compressing element may also be dynamically controlled. Dynamic control may be according to device operation parameters, patient's life signs or off-line data. Operational parameters and patient life signs may also be stored, for later analysis.

    Abstract: A therapeutic pebble spa bed includes a bed frame filled with pebble-shaped massaging media and an element for heating the massaging media. Heat therapy and natural massaging action from the textured, conforming massaging media are provided to the user. Powered massaging elements embedded in the massaging media provide additional types of massage therapy. Other elements can be added to the spa bed to provide tanning, auditory, visual, and audio-visual therapies. One embodiment of the device includes a closed-loop water heating system to heat the massaging media. Other embodiments are described and shown.

    Abstract: The massaging device in this invention comprises a massaging mechanism, arms 3, and carriers 300. The carrier 300 has a shaft 30 which is fixed to the arm 3. The shaft 30 holds the massaging head 2 which is rotatable relative to the shaft 30. The carrier 300 carries the heat source 4 therein, and has a disc extending toward the radial direction of the shaft 30. The carrier 300 or the massaging head 20 includes a heat transfer means extending radially of the shaft from the carrier to an outer circumferential surface of the massaging head 20. This configuration makes it possible to transfer the heat to the outer circumferential surface of the carrier 300 or the massaging head.
