1,052,860. Preserving vegetables. ARMOUR & CO. Nov. 24, 1965 [Nov. 24, 1964], No. 49967/65. Heading A2D. [Also in Divisions B5 and C3] Boilable and/or shrinkable plastics pouches for packaging vegetables are made by applying to an inert plastics film an adhesive composition comprising a thermoplastic copolymer selected from vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymers, vinyl acrylate-ethylene copolymers and vinyl acetate-propylene copolymers, an ester of pentaerythritol or glycerol with a rosin, terpene, polyterpene or dimerized resin acid, wax and a solvent, drying, and then heat sealing the coated film to itself or to another substrate. The films may be of a polyfluoro-carbon, a polyolefine, a polyamide, a polyester, polyvinylidene or polyvinyl chloride. In the example an adhesive composition comprising a vinyl acetateethylene copolymer, an ester of pentaerythritol and hydrogenated rosin, paraffin wax and toluene is applied to one face each of two sheets of polyfluoro-chloroalkyl plastic film. The sheets are then placed upon each other with the coated surfaces innermost and three of the edges are heat sealed to form an open ended pouch. A vegetable item is inserted into the pouch and the fourth edge heat sealed. The vegetable containinng package may be quick frozen and subsequently immersed in boiling water without damaging the heat seals or the plastics film.

1,185,226. Hot melt adhesive compositions. SUN OIL CO. 15 March, 1967 [18 March, 1966], No. 12145/67. Addition to 1,116,551. Headings C3P and C3R. A thermoplastic hot melt adhesive composition comprises a homogeneous mixture of 35 to 75 weight per cent of an aromatic hydrocarbonaldehyde resin free from acetate groups and having a ring and ball softening point of 70‹ to 150‹ C. and 25 to 65 weight per cent of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing 17 to 42 weight per cent vinyl acetate. In an example there is described a resin obtained by reacting formaldehyde with a gas oil fraction containing aromatics, which is suitable for blending with copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate.
Abstract:
A hot melt adhesive film for bonding an ethylene-vinyl acetate form and a rubber includes a hot melt adhesive film layer and a release film layer. The hot melt adhesive film layer is prepared by the following raw materials in parts by weight: a 20-50 parts by weight of polyethylene-ester copolymer, a 5-15 parts by weight of rubber, a 15-55 parts by weight of thermoplastic polyolefin, a 5-20 parts by weight of tackifier and a 5-30 parts by weight of auxiliary. The release film layer is releasably adhered to the hot melt adhesive film layer.
Abstract:
The present invention aims to provide a polyvinyl acetal resin composition that is moldable by an extrusion method and capable of exhibiting excellent heat resistance after molding, an adhesive sheet containing the polyvinyl acetal resin composition, and a method for producing the adhesive sheet. The present invention relates to a polyvinyl acetal resin composition including: a polyvinyl acetal; a reactive diluent; and a photopolymerization initiator, the polyvinyl acetal resin composition having a storage modulus G′ at 200° C. before irradiation with light of 8×104 Pa or lower and a storage modulus G′ at 200° C. after irradiation with light of 8×103 Pa or higher, with the storage modulus G′ at 200° C. after irradiation with light being higher than the storage modulus G′ at 200° C. before irradiation with light.
Abstract:
A problem is to provide a sheet which is such that a sintered body produced following sintering has a small amount of remaining organic substances. Solution means relate to a sheet comprising a pre-sintering layer. The pre-sintering layer comprises polycarbonate.
Abstract:
A joining structure for a vehicle includes: a panel formed of resin; a temporary holding member, formed of metal, formed in a hat shape in cross-section, and having a top wall and a pair of flange portions, the pair of flange portions being fastened to the panel; a reinforcing member, formed of metal, welded to the top wall, and being disposed so as to face the panel; and a thermosetting adhesive, provided between the panel and the reinforcing member, and joining the panel and the reinforcing member.
Abstract:
A film structure for sealing re-closable containers comprising a base layer, a sticky layer, and a sealing coating. The structure according to the present invention is characterised in that the sealing coating is peeled off from a release support and transferred by adhesion to the surface of said base layer having said sticky layer.
Abstract:
A self-adhesive vapor-permeable membrane for use on a building, comprising a support that is permeable to air and water vapor, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that is permeable to air and water vapor, and is secured to the underside of the support, wherein the membrane is noteworthy in that it comprises gas bubbles trapped between the support and the adhesive layer.
Abstract:
A system for dispensing hot melt adhesives, comprising an adhesive dispenser including a fluid passage leading to an outlet. The system further comprises a supply conduit fluidly connected to the fluid passage and a feeding mechanism configured to feed an elongate, flexible element of solid adhesive into the supply conduit. The system further comprises a first heating element positioned along at least a portion of the supply conduit to melt a portion of the elongate, flexible element being fed into the supply conduit and thereby form a supply of liquid adhesive within the supply conduit.
