Abstract: A packaging system that is manufactured entirely out of recyclable materials and that allows consumers to view the items, such as food items, within the package container is disclosed. Specifically, the packaging system comprises a package container manufactured entirely out of recyclable materials, and a code identifier component positioned thereon which is linked to an image or other information of the product contained within the package container. The code identifier component is typically a 2D bar code or an RFID tag. Further, the image linked to the code identifier component can be generic, or the actual individual image of the product in the container, and the image can be associated with the product during its manufacture, or when it is packaged. The image can be viewed with a tablet, mobile phone, virtual reality headset, a provided terminal, or other suitable device.

Abstract: A neonatal care system includes a platform for supporting an infant, a plurality of part tags each embedded in a part within the neonatal care device, and at least one part reader. Each of the plurality of part tags is configured to transmit a part identifier and the at least one part reader is configured to receive the part identifiers transmitted from the plurality of the part tags. A controller is configured to store at least one part identifier catalog, receive the part identifiers from the part reader, and compare the part identifiers generated by the plurality of part tags to the at least one part identifier catalog. If any of the received part identifiers does not match the at least one part identifier catalog, then an alert is generated.

Abstract: A system and method for tracking fiber along a textile supply chain aids in product tracking and can verify fiber source/origin. However, verifying the fiber origin and type in a textile product purchased at a retail location back to the bale is complicated by the nature of textile processes along the supply chain. The system as described in the present application addresses complications, such as contamination/cross-contamination, and is used to track fiber from bales of fiber processed into a textile product throughout a sequence of textile operations. The system captures, for each textile operation, a) input information, b) output information, and c) equipment information related to the equipment used in the textile operation. The output information is associated with the input information of a subsequent textile operation, thereby associating the input information and output information, for each textile operation, with the fiber information for the bales of fiber.

Abstract: Radio frequency identification discontinuity correction is provided by calculating a phase-time slope for a Radio Frequency Identifier (RFID) signal received from an RFID tag; estimating, based on the phase-time slope, a predicted phase reading for the RFID signal at a given time; and in response to detecting a phase discontinuity based on a difference between the predicted phase reading and an actual phase reading for the given time, adjusting a calculated distance to the RFID tag. The calculated distance may indicate that the RFID tag is inside of or outside of a designated zone, and that a motion of the RFID tag indicates travel towards or away from the designated zone, which may be used to add or remove an item associated with the RFID tag to an ongoing item list.

Abstract: A control method according to the present disclosure is a method for controlling a first terminal carried by a first user and capable of communicating with a server via a network and includes: establishing short-range wireless communication by the first terminal with a second terminal carried by a second user; requesting the second terminal by the first terminal via the short-range wireless communication to provide item information, which is information related to at least one item included in one or more items worn by the second user, or requesting the server by the first terminal via the network to provide the item information, using identification information of at least one item that has been obtained upon the establishment of the short-range wireless communication; obtaining the item information by the first terminal; and transmitting, to the server, item positive-obtainment information indicating that the item information has been obtained.

Abstract: A shopping store system may include one or more shelves in which each shelf includes one or more levels and one or more products placed on the shelves. Electronic sign labels (ESLs) may be included in the shopping store system in which each of the ESLs is located in a particular position corresponding to a respective product placed on the shelves. Each ESL may include a multi-protocol radio that is configured to operate in a reception modality, a transmission modality, or a transceiving modality. The ESLs may each include a display that is configured to provide information about the respective product to which each ESL corresponds. The shopping store system may include a computer system configured to receive information transmitted by and process information received by each of the ESLs.
