Abstract:
A system and method for automatically verifying a telephone number proffered by a user of an application. During registration or installation of the application, client software is installed on the user's mobile device (e.g., a smart phone, a tablet computer). One of a pool of telephone numbers for outgoing calls is selected, and a call is initiated to the proffered number by the system. The software executing on the user's device detects the incoming call, extracts caller identification data (i.e., the originating telephone number), formats a data communication (e.g., an http request) to include the data, and sends it to the system. The system receives the data communication and compares the data with the originating number. If they match, the user's telephone number is verified. The outgoing call from the system may be canceled before it rings at the device if the data communication is received in time.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for retrieving information from a network such as the Internet. A user creates a user-defined record in a database that identifies an information source, such as a web site, containing information of interest to the user. This record identifies the location of the information source and also contains a recognition grammar based upon a speech command assigned by the user. Upon receiving the speech command from the user that is described within the recognition grammar, a network interface system accesses the information source and retrieves the information requested by the user.
Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: a voice input section that receives a remark (a question) via a voice signal; a reply creation section that creates a voice sequence of a reply (response) to the remark; a pitch analysis section that analyzes the pitch of a first segment (e.g., word ending) of the remark; and a voice generation section (a voice synthesis section, etc.) that generates a reply, in the form of voice, represented by the voice sequence. The voice generation section controls the pitch of the entire reply in such a manner that the pitch of a second segment (e.g., word ending) of the reply assumes a predetermined pitch (e.g., five degrees down) with respect to the pitch of the first segment of the remark. Such arrangements can realize synthesis of replying voice capable of giving a natural feel to the user.
Abstract:
A system and method for processing call data is provided. A call between a user and an agent is monitored. A selected script having a dialog grammar is received. The selected script is executed by converting at least a portion of the script into synthesized speech utterances and providing the synthesized speech utterances to the user. Speech utterances are received from the user in reply to each of the synthesized speech utterances from the script. Each received speech utterance is converted to text as a user message and a form is populated with the user messages. The user speech utterances and the form with the user messages are provided to the agent.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a communication system and a method of maintaining audio communication in a congested communication channel currently bearing the transmission of speech in audio communication between a sender side and a receiver side, the communication channel having at least one signaling channel and at least one payload channel having a quality of service. During the audio communication the quality of service of the payload channel is monitored. If the quality of service of the payload channel is below a threshold the speech at the respective sender side is converted to text; and transmitted over the retained communication channel to the respective receiver side. The text may be converted back to speech at the receiver side.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for receiving an input from an agent during a call with a caller where the input directs one or more processors to inject a recorded statement in the agent's voice into the call, and where the recorded statement in the agent's voice is stored in a computer-readable file. Obtaining the recorded statement in the agent's voice based on data associated with the input and in response to receiving the input. And causing the recorded statement in the agent's voice to be inserted into a media stream of the call.
Abstract:
A method and system for operating a multitenancy telephony system including a call queue that stores call requests received from a plurality of users; an expandable and contractible telephony resource cluster that establishes call sessions for call requests; a analysis system that calculates capacity requirements of the system; a resource allocator that manages the scaling and operation of the telephony resource cluster; and a plurality of telephony network channels that are used as telephony communication channels for call sessions.
Abstract:
A hand-held communication device with a recording format transformation module includes a control unit, a display coupled to the control unit; a contact book coupled to the control unit to store a list of contact person's account information and related information thereof; and a recording format transformation module coupled to the control unit to transform recorded sound files into text files for reading or transform text files into audio files for listening.
Abstract:
A service server apparatus is provided which can easily cope with a correction of an error of a task performed based on the content of verbal speeches of a speaker. The service server apparatus includes a service activating unit that receives an instruction for performing a different task from a task performed by an application relating to a speech communication, a telephone/call control enabler that records verbal speeches of the speaker during a speech communication between a plurality of speech communication terminal device, a speech recognizing enabler which performs a task based on the recorded speeches and which generates task data including text data representing the result of the performance and speech data representing the result of the performance, a text translating enabler, and a speech synthesizing enabler.
