Abstract:
An HDLC accelerator includes a deframer and framer to respectively accelerate the deframing and framing processes for PPP packets. The deframer includes an input interface unit, a detection unit, a conversion unit, and an output interface unit. The input interface unit receives a packet of data to be deframed. The detection unit evaluates each data byte to detect for special bytes (e.g., flag, escape, and invalid bytes). The conversion unit deframes the received data by removing flag and escape bytes, “un-escaping” the data byte following each escape byte, providing a header word for each flag byte, and checking each deframed packet based on a frame check sequence (FCS) value associated with the packet. The output interface unit provides deframed data and may further perform byte alignment in providing the deframed data. A state control unit provides control signals indicative of specific tasks to be performed for deframing.
Abstract:
A test station for testing polishing heads for planarizing semiconductor wafers and other substrates has a head positioning control system which can precisely position the polishing head at one of many electronically controlled positions above the test station platform. The test station may also include a lateral carriage assembly which supports the polishing head above a base plate of the station and permits the polishing head to be moved in a gliding motion above the surface of the test station test wafer. A sensor senses when the carriage of the assembly is moved from a load position. In response, the test station controller causes a vertical actuator to lift the head mount in the vertical or Z direction. In this position, there is sufficient clearance for the polishing head being carried by the carriage to slide under the head mount and into position for mounting to the head adapter. The carriage includes a carriage plate, the top surface of which defines a generally disk segment shaped recess which is sized and shaped to receive the bottom of a polishing head of a first size, such as a polishing head adapted to hold 300 mm semiconductor wafers for polishing, for example. The test station includes an adapter plate which may be placed onto the carriage plate of the carriage instead of a polishing head. The adapter plate has a recess which is sized to receive a different sized polishing head. A wafer chuck can chuck test wafers of different sizes, such as 200 mm wafers and 300 mm wafers, for example and includes a plate which defines a first set of annular-shaped grooves in a first area which is a central disk-shaped area. A second set of annular-shaped grooves are positioned in a second area which is annular shaped and surrounds the central area. The test station has two independent vacuum lines coupled to the first and second sets of grooves respectively, which draw vacuum pressure through the grooves to draw a test wafer down and chuck the test wafer in place on the wafer chuck.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a video camera plugged into kiln to monitor and an image processing system using the camera. The video camera is composed of a camera body, a video recorder, a monitor, and a digial thermometer; the image processing system is composed of the camera body mentioned above, a computer and a color monitor. Especially, the present invention is used to monitor material surface during the smelting in a blast furnace; process the image by a computer, describing quantificationally the airflow and temperature distribution of the material surface; monitor the operation state of charging chute or bell, the material stream, and the abnormality in the furnace such as pipeline and material collapse. The advantages of the present invention: Micro camera used to obtain IR image in the furnace, pint-sized, low cost, easy installation, simple maintenance, long service life, and the maintenance performed without stopping production.
Abstract:
A fiber-based ring cavity tunable laser is disclosed in this invention that has full range high speed tuning achieved by combining a optical tunable filter with a period comb-shaped filter with central wavelengths anchored on International Telecommunication Union (ITU) grids. By using segments of dispersion managed fibers with predefined segment lengths the group delay differences are also reduced. The temperature sensitivity of optical transmission is also reduced by arranging the longitudinal axis of different segments of the optical fibers to orient with a relative angular difference, e.g., with an angular difference of ninety degrees.
Abstract:
A composition comprising a major proportion of an oil obtained from methyl esters of animal or vegetable material or both or derivatives thereof, or its mixtures with petroleum-based oils, in admixture with an ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer cold flow additive having at least 17 mole % vinyl ester units and containing 5 or more alkyl branches per 100 backbone methylenes. The copolymer improves the low temperature properties of the oil.
