Abstract: An axial piston pump controller for an axial piston pump having a fixed valve plate and a variable displacement is provided. The axial piston pump controller is configured to determine a displacement of the axial piston pump, and to calculate a pump displacement control current to be supplied to the axial piston pump to control the displacement of the axial piston pump. Calculating the pump displacement control current comprises calculating a nominal value for the pump displacement control current based on a rotational speed of the axial piston pump, calculating a pump stiffness adjustment factor based on a pump stiffness control map having as inputs: an output pressure of the axial piston pump; and the estimated pump displacement, and calculating the pump displacement control current to be supplied to the axial piston pump based on the nominal value and the pump stiffness adjustment factor. The controller is further configured to output an instruction to output the calculated pump displacement control current to the axial piston pump in order to control the displacement of the axial piston pump.

The variable capacity compressor operation mode determination method includes: detecting a current value of a compressor at present as A1 before switching an operation mode of the compressor; detecting the current value of the compressor at present as A2 after switching the operation mode of the compressor and reaching a preset time; comparing A1 and A2, determining that the switching of the operation mode of the compressor is successful when a ratio relationship between A1 and A2 satisfies a preset condition, and determining that switching of the operation mode of the compressor is failed when the ratio relationship between A1 and A2 dissatisfies a preset condition.

Abstract: A power converter including a compressor as a load includes a compensation current output (80) allowing compensation current (Ic), which compensates for leakage current (Ia), to flow. A controller (50) receives a detection signal from a rotational speed sensor (55) which senses the rotational speed of the compressor (CM). When the rotational speed has increased to a set rotational speed at which the leakage current (Ia) is lower than or equal to its limiting value (Lmax) (e.g., the limiting value specified under the Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Act or by the IEC) in a state where the compensation current output (80) is off, the compensation current output (80) is switched from an on state to an off state. This may reduce the leakage current from the compressor with low power loss.

Abstract: A refrigeration system includes a compressor and a capacitor electrically coupled to the compressor. A method of operating the refrigeration system includes measuring voltage values based on alternating current power powering the compressor. The method includes measuring current values based on the alternating current power. The method includes determining, with a controller, a power factor value based on at least one of the voltage values and at least one of the current values. The method includes receiving a supply air temperature value from an air temperature sensor installed in the refrigeration system. The method includes receiving a return air temperature value from an air temperature sensor installed in the refrigeration system. The method includes determining a temperature split based on a difference between the return and supply air temperature values. The method includes determining a fault in the capacitor based on the power factor value and the temperature split.
