Abstract: An electrical connector system for electrically and mechanically connecting with a component in a motor vehicle is disclosed. The connector system includes a motor vehicle component and a male connector assembly with a male housing that receives a male terminal. This terminal includes a receiver and side walls with a contact arm that extends across an aperture in the side wall. An internal spring member with at least one spring arm resides within the male terminal receiver. A female connector assembly includes a female terminal with a receptacle that receives both the male terminal and the spring member. A female housing receives the female terminal and an extent of the male connector assembly. When the connector system moves from the partially assembled state to a connected position for connection of the vehicle component, the male connector assembly is inserted into female housing, the contact arm is brought into sliding engagement with an angled internal segment of the female housing, and the contact arm is inwardly displaced as the contact arm slidingly engages with the angled internal segment.

Abstract: A structure of electrical connection is a structure of mutual electrical connection between a first power supply unit, a second power supply unit, and electric wires. Abstract: A battery lockout device is provided. The battery lockout device may include a safety plug body adapted to engage a power port of the battery. The battery lockout device may further include a rotating member operatively connected to the safety plug body, the rotating member engaging a battery lip or battery lip housing. The rotating member, in a first rotated position, can be locked in the first rotated position preventing access to the power port of the battery and preventing removal of the safety body plug from the battery. To effectuate locking the rotating member in the first rotated position, a keyed lock can be used to maintain the first rotated position of the rotating member relative to the safety plug body and the battery/battery housing lip. In this way, no energy from the battery may be discharged until removal/disengagement of the battery lockout device.

Abstract: A network communication device includes communication circuitry configured to communicate signals over a network cable, and a connector configured to connect to the network cable. The connector includes one or more signal terminals, an inner shield connection and an outer shield connection. The one or more signal terminals are configured to connect to one or more signal conductors of the network cable for communicating the signals. The inner shield connection surrounds the one or more signal terminals and is connected to a circuit ground of the communication circuitry. The outer shield connection surrounds the inner shield connection and is connected to an additional ground of the network communication device, the additional ground being different from the circuit ground.

Abstract: A work machine, such as a hauler at a mining site, includes a conductor rod housing concentric metal tubes for receiving electrical power from a contactor sliding on a power rail. A connection assembly includes lugs branching orthogonally from respective ones of the concentric metal tubes to an exterior of the conductor rod. The lugs include ball-and-socket joints configured to enable semi-spherical movement of the lugs at the exterior with respect to the joints. When attached to the contactor via conductive arms, the connection assembly provides multiple degrees of freedom for the conductor rod relative to the contactor and avoids detachment of the contactor from the power rail.

Abstract: An electric vehicle includes at least one tractive element, a battery pack including a plurality of battery cells, an in-wheel hub motor coupled to the at least one tractive element and electrically coupled to the battery pack, and a busbar assembly configured to electrically couple the motor to the battery pack. The busbar assembly can include a busbar, a cable electrically coupled to the busbar, and an inverter electrically coupled to the cable and configured to convert power supplied from the battery pack to the motor. The busbar assembly further includes a bracket configured to mount the cable to a knuckle of the electric vehicle and position the cable at a fixed or variable angle.
