Abstract:
A method for a computer includes determining a call-in fax telephone number called by a facsimile transmission device, receiving the facsimile transmission from a facsimile transmission device including a digitized representation of a transmission page including an optical representation of a e-mail address, determining the e-mail address optically, which is independent of the call-in number, determining a graphics template associated with the call-in number, combining a digitized representation of the transmission page with the graphics template to form a digitized representation of a composite page, formatting the digitized representation of the composite page into a second format, determining additional service provider data in response to the facsimile or the scanned image, and transmitting the additional service provider data and the digitized representation of the composite page in the second format to the electronic destination address.
Abstract:
There is provided an image-processing system including a request acquisition unit that acquires an image processing request for an electronic document; an attribute information acquisition unit that acquires attribute information managed in connection with the electronic document by the document management system that manages the electronic document which is a target of the image processing request; a request-handling unit that causes a predetermined image-processing unit to perform image processing on the electronic document in accordance with the request; a log image generation unit that generates a log image of the electronic document in response to the request; a log information generation unit that generates log information based on the request or information obtained during the processing performed in the request-handling unit; and a log registration unit that registers into a predetermined log storage, the log image, the log information, and the attribute information acquired by the attribute information acquisition unit.
Abstract:
A method for messaging personal pictures with others includes means for achieving a controlled level of sender's personal exposure with each recipient. A controlled level of sender's personal exposure is achieved by evaluating the picture and transmitting or displaying it only if predefined criteria regarding the evaluation results vs. characteristics of the intended recipient are met. A system for messaging personal pictures comprising means for storing pictures, means for pictures evaluation and means for pictures transfer or display according to the evaluation results.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a digital camera and an image data processing system, which can develop and observe images recorded by both a compressed image recording control function and a raw image recording function on an external image processing device regardless of the presence/absence of a raw image reproducing function. When an image of CCD-raw data is reproduced on a PC, a self-development execution module is added to an image file to make it possible to perform reproduction such as display of the data on the monitor of the PC without arranging a dedicated viewer for reproducing CCD-raw data on the PC.
Abstract:
When an acquired image file GF includes image processing control information GI, a CPU executes image quality adjustment of image data GD in an image processing mode GM specified by the image processing control information GI. When the acquired image file GF does not include the image processing control information GI, on the other hand, the CPU retrieves Exif information and in the case of successful retrieval of the Exif information, selects the image processing mode GM based on the Exif information and executes image quality adjustment of the image data GD in the selected image processing mode GM. In the case where a selected shooting mode is described in the Exif information, the selected shooting mode is used for the selection of the image processing mode GM. In the case where no selected shooting mode is described in the Exif information, on the other hand, another shooting condition is used for the selection of the image processing mode GM.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an image processor including a display screen, a color image storage, a monochrome image storage, an image presenter, an image-area designator, a color-data replacer, and an outputter. The color image storage stores color image data constituted by a plurality of pieces of color data. The monochrome image storage stores monochrome image data obtained by converting the color image data and constituted by a plurality of pieces of color data. The image presenter can operate to present on the display screen a color image on the basis of the color image data stored in the color image storage, and a monochrome image on the basis of the monochrome image data stored in the monochrome image storage. The image-area designator can designate at least a part of at least one of the color image and the monochrome image that are presented on the display screen by the image presenter. The color-data replacer replaces one of the pieces of color data constituting the monochrome image data and corresponding to the part designated by the image-area designator, with another piece of color data. The outputter outputs the monochrome image data including the substituted piece of color data by the color-data replacer.
Abstract:
A series of approved printers is associated with each of multiples utilities. A client user having a local printer must first identify the local printer as one of the approved printers. The client user may then gain access to the utilities having an association with the local printer. The utilities have access to multiple image sets. Each image set includes a thumbnail representation for quick selection, a screen representation for editing the image, and a printer representation for printing the image. The printer representation is of higher resolution than the screen representation, and the screen representation is of higher resolution than the thumbnail representation. Each utility is further associated with list of predefined, and unalterably, printer setting. When a print option is actuated, the utility conveys a list of predefined printer settings to a printer without requiring the client user to submit any printer preferences.
Abstract:
An image input/output system which makes it possible to reduce a load on a server in the case of using a network scan function in a server based computing environment. An image input/output system comprises a multifunction peripheral, a server, and a computer which are communicably connected to one another via a network. The server receives a reading instruction from the computer and instructs the multifunction peripheral to read an original according to the reading instruction. In the multifunction peripheral, a reader section reads the original based on the instruction from the server, and a control section sends thumbnail image data obtained by the reader section to the computer without going through the server.
Abstract:
There is provided an image processor having a processing unit that executes an image output process; a first registration unit that registers recording image data corresponding to an output image of the image output process in a predetermined retaining device which can be accessed from an image log record management device which manages log record data of an image output process; a viewing image generator that generates viewing image data based on the output image, the viewing image data having a reduced amount of data as compared with the recording image data; and a second registration unit that registers, to the image log record management device, log record data including the viewing image data and access information for enabling access to the recording image data registered in the retaining device.
Abstract:
