Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for supplying therapeutic gas, notably NO/N2 or O2/N2O mixtures, comprising an internal passage (2) with valve means (5) for conveying and controlling the flow of therapeutic gas in the internal passage (2), control means (6) controlling the valve means (5), a graphic display (7) for displaying choices (9a-9d) that can be selected by a user, and selection means (8), such as touch-sensitive keys displayed on the graphic display (7) for making a selection from among the selectable choices (9a-9d) displayed on the graphic display (7). The control means (6) are configured to count a total number (N) of patients treated by administration of the therapeutic gas from the selection, by a user, via the selection means (8), of a first given choice (9a) corresponding to the start of a treatment by administering the therapeutic gas to a patient concerned.

Abstract: A respiratory access assembly may include a manifold having a first mating surface defining a first port opening. Abstract: A method of, or system for, ventilating lungs in breathing and non-breathing patients—including applications for anesthesia—may comprise maintaining an inspiratory flow rate at an inspiratory setpoint at a low flow setting. Lung pressure in a patient may be regulated between a high pressure setpoint and a low pressure setpoint with periodic expiratory flows and continuous inspiratory flow. An expiratory control valve may be adjusted to an open position when a lung pressure is at or above a high pressure setpoint. An expiratory control valve may be adjusted to a closed position when a lung pressure is at or below a low pressure setpoint. Concurrent venting outflow and CO2 offloading through flow within the lungs may be facilitated by providing an intermittent expiratory flow to the patient while providing the continuous inspiratory flow.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus may implement controlled generation of oxygen enriched air in an oxygen concentrator while implementing control that reduces pneumatic imbalance between the concentrator's canisters, such as dynamic pressure imbalance or other pneumatic characteristic. One or more controllers may regulate operation of a compressor that feeds a pressurised air stream to the concentrator's canisters. This may regulate speed of the compressor to a speed set point for generating the pressurised stream. The regulating may involve generating a compressor control signal having a characteristic parameter such as a power parameter. The controller(s) may operate valve(s) in a cyclic pattern so as to produce oxygen enriched air in an accumulator. A cycle of the cyclic pattern may include a plurality of phases, where each of the plurality of phases has a duration. The controller(s) may then generate a dynamic adjustment to the duration(s) based on an evaluation of the characteristic parameter.

Abstract: A breathing bag (20) has a tray section (21) and a bag section (22). A lever component (50) is functionally connected mechanically to the actuating unit for activating the actuating unit. A process is provided for mounting the system, including breathing bag and dispensing valve unit, in the closed-circuit respirator.
