Abstract:
A system and method for distributed speech recognition is provided. A prompt is provided to a caller during a call. One or more audio responses are received from the caller in response to the prompt. Distributed speech recognition is performed on the audio responses by providing a non-overlapping section of a main grammar to each of a plurality of secondary recognizers for each audio response. Speech recognition is performed on the audio responses by each of the secondary recognizers using the non-overlapping section of the main grammar associated with that secondary recognizer. A new grammar is generated based on results of the speech recognition from each of the secondary recognizers. Further speech recognition is performed on the audio responses against the new grammar and a further prompt is selected for providing to the caller based on results of the distributed speech recognition.
Abstract:
A computer detects a connected voice or video call between participants and records a brief media sample. Speech recognition is utilized to determine when the call is connected as well as to transcribe the content of the audio portion of the media sample. The recorded media sample and transcribed content is associated with the connected voice or video call such that a user may reference it at a later point. The computer additionally suggests creating or editing contact information associated with the participants of the connected voice or video call based on the transcribed content.
Abstract:
Provided are a system and method of providing a voice-message call service. A mobile device that performs a call with an external mobile device comprises a control unit configured to obtain text, the text converted from voice data that is exchanged between the mobile device and the external mobile device, during the call between the mobile device and the external mobile device, and obtain input text input to the mobile device and provided text that is received from the external mobile device; and a display unit configured to arrange the text, the input text, and the provided text and display the arranged text, input text, and provided text on a screen of the device, during the call between the mobile device and the external mobile device.
Abstract:
A system and method for connecting a user to business services monitors all attempts by the user to place outgoing telephone calls. When a user is attempting to place a call to a business, the system checks to see if the business has created a voice application that could be performed for the user. If so, the business' voice application is performed for the user on the user's local device, instead of connecting the user to the business' customer service line. If no voice application is available for the user, then the system connects the user to the business' customer service line, either through a telephone network, or through a data network connection.
Abstract:
A method and system for facilitating user access to services through a wireless device of a user, involves recommending to a user a subset of services from a plurality of services available to the user in which each recommended service of the subset has at least one voice short-cut associated therewith, and selecting a service to be accessed through the user's wireless device from the subset of services according to a voice command by the user corresponding to the voice short-cut of the service.
Abstract:
A method and system for operating a multitenancy telephony system including a call queue that stores call requests received from a plurality of users; an expandable and contractible telephony resource cluster that establishes call sessions for call requests; a analysis system that calculates capacity requirements of the system; a resource allocator that manages the scaling and operation of the telephony resource cluster; and a plurality of telephony network channels that are used as telephony communication channels for call sessions.
Abstract:
Embodiments relate to facilitating communications between customers and customer service representatives. A method for facilitating communications between customers and customer service representatives is provided. The method generates a graph of expressions of a customer. The method generates a graph of expressions of each customer service representative of a plurality of customer service representatives. The method performs a graphical text analysis on the graph for the customer to identify an interaction style of the customer. The method performs a graphical text analysis on the graph for each customer service representative to identify an interaction style of the customer service representative. The method selects a customer service representative from the plurality of the customer service representatives based on the interaction style of the customer and the interaction styles of the plurality of the customer service representative. The method starts a communication between the customer and the selected customer service representative.
Abstract:
An apparatus, method, system, and program product are disclosed for intelligent communication disconnect. A monitor module is configured to detect a disconnection cue during an ongoing communication between a plurality of users. The disconnection cue includes a disconnection phrase that indicates the completion of the ongoing communication. A disconnection module is configured to disconnect from the ongoing communication in response to the disconnection cue.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of placing a telephone call for a user include monitoring the telephone number that the user has requested to reach. Depending upon the telephone number requested by the user, the system might take an alternate action, rather than simply placing a call to the requested telephone number. In some instances, the system might take an action in addition to placing a call to the requested telephone number.
Abstract:
A system and method for providing a vehicle occupant with hands-free usage of text messaging services over a mobile phone via a vehicle telematics unit. The method enables a vehicle occupant to send and receive communication messages such as text messages in a hands-free manner. For sending text messages, a spoken communication message is received from the occupant at the vehicle and sent to a call center for conversion to a text message using a speech to text server. The converted text message is then sent to the mobile phone for texting to the intended recipient. Received text messages can be sent from the mobile phone to the telematics unit, converted to speech and played audibly to the occupant in the vehicle.
