Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes: a soma-related information storage unit in which two or more pieces of soma-related information having a soma identifier are stored; a connection information storage unit in which one or more pieces of connection information for specifying connection between two or more somas are stored; an information transfer unit that acquires soma identifiers of one or more somas that accept information based on accepted input information; an output information acquiring unit that acquires output information, which is information that is output, using the information accepted by each soma identified with the one or more soma identifiers acquired by the information transfer unit; an information output unit that outputs the output information; and a growth unit that performs soma generation processing for generating soma-related information and accumulating the information in the soma-related information storage unit.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods operable in a balloon network. The method can include determining that a balloon is at a location associated with a legally-defined geographic area. An area profile of the legally-defined geographic area may identify geographically-restricted data that must not be removed from the legally-defined geographic area. The method can also include determining that the balloon contains at least some of the geographically-restricted data. The method can also include determining that the balloon is likely to move out of the legally-defined geographic area. The method can also include removing the geographically-restricted data from the memory of the balloon.

Abstract: A method for managing nodes of a network includes receiving location information from each of a plurality of nodes in a network, where at least one node is moving relative to another node of the network. The method then includes converting the received location information for each node into a corresponding network address. The corresponding network address is based on a hierarchical cell-based partitioning scheme. The method further includes identifying a target region for a given node of the network based on a plurality of routing paths. The target region encompasses two or more nodes in the network that are next hops for the given node and that have a common segment in the corresponding network addresses. The method then includes sending forwarding rules to one or more nodes in the network. The forwarding rules includes the common segment to identify the next hops for the given node.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a method of operating a communication network. The method includes receiving input data related to a state of the communication network and determining an implementation policy for the communication network based on the input data. The implementation policy is a set of features for forming one or more communication links in the communication network over a time interval. The one or more communication links includes at least one communication link between a terrestrial terminal and a high-altitude platform terminal. Determining the implementation policy is based at least in part on utility values of previous policies. The utility values of previous policies are derived using simulation and/or real-world implementation of the previous policies. The communication network is then operated to implement the implementation policy in the time interval.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for receiver channel calibration are provided. The method includes generating a plurality of calibration signals corresponding to a plurality of receiver channels, respectively. The plurality of calibration signals are combined with a plurality of data signals, respectively, thereby generating a plurality of combined signals. The plurality of combined signals are propagated through at least portions of the plurality of receiver channels, respectively. The plurality of calibration signals are extracted from the propagated plurality of combined signals, respectively. At least two signal characteristics of at least two of the extracted plurality of calibration signals are compared. At least one adjustment in gain, phase, or timing for at least one of the receiver channels is identified based on a result of the comparing. Based on the identified adjustment, a data signal received via the at least one of the plurality of receiver channels is adjusted.
