Abstract: Digital logic voltage regulators and related methods generate a regulated voltage via controlled switching of a power transistor. A digital logic voltage regulator includes a voltage level comparator, a power transistor, and a charge accumulator. The voltage level comparator generates a digital control signal that alternates between a first voltage level and a second voltage level in response to changes in relative voltage level between the regulated output voltage and the target voltage. The digital control signal causes the power transistor to switch from off to on in response to a reduction of the regulated output voltage relative to the target voltage and causes the power transistor to switch from on to off in response to an increase of the regulated output voltage relative to the target voltage. The charge accumulator decreases variation in the regulated output voltage that would occur without the charge accumulator.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for monitoring fluid flow in a rock formation that include utilizing a tracer fluid containing a homogeneous dispersion of ultrastable magnetic nanoparticles which can be injected into the rock formation. A series of EM signals can be emitted in formation by a transmitter at a first plurality of discrete depths along a first path, that can be recorded by a receiver at a second plurality of locations at a second plurality of discrete depth. The received EM signals can be processed to generate a set of EM permeability data that is indicative of variations in magnetic permeability between the first path and the second path. A magnetic permeability map can be generated that is indicative of a location of the tracer fluid.

Abstract: An ophthalmic contact lens configured to treat color vision deficiency is presented herein. The contact lens includes a tinted region containing either or both of a first dye that is configured to absorb at least 50% of incident light in a spectral band between 480 nanometers to 500 nanometers and a second dye that is configured to absorb at least 50% of incident light in a spectral band between 550 nanometers to 580 nanometers. A method of manufacturing such a contact lens and a process of forming an ophthalmic contact lens by an additive manufacturing process is also presented.

Abstract: Methods herein disclosed include methods of producing a nanoporous membrane by coating a planar substrate (204) with a solution (solution tank 201) containing a reactive metal adatom. The coated planar substrate can then be perforated by initiating a redox reaction between the reactive metal adatom and the planar substrate that causes the reactive metal adatom to remove material, forming nanoscale pores in the planar substrate that result in a nanoporous planar material. This nanoporous planar material can be formed into a nanoporous membrane.
