Abstract:
An apparatus for applying a periodic motion to a limb includes a base, a chassis including a motor for providing rotational motion, a platform for receiving a limb slideably secured to the chassis, and a drive for providing linear oscillatory motion to the platform.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a handheld apparatus and a method for eye wash for first aid, where there is a need for immediate washing of the eye, caused by foreign objects or chemicals in and/or around the eye(s). The apparatus comprises two rocker arms, where each of the rocker arms (2) on one side of a hinge (3) has a jaw (4) for placing on the eyelids, and a wing (5) on the opposite side of the hinge, thereat by manual compression of the wings, and the thereby caused rotation of the rocker arms around the hinge, to force the jaws and thus the eyelids apart. The apparatus comprises a connecting part for connection to a liquid container of aerosol type (13) with a pressure valve (14). The rocker arms are connected to a pressure device configured by compression of the wings to press the pressure valve into the liquid container and thereby cause the release of liquid from the liquid container, thus the onset of release of liquid is simultaneous with the compression of the jaws forcing the eyelids apart.
Abstract:
A mechanized dildo, including a motor driven coaxial plurality of longitudinally spaced drive cams, and corresponding sets of passive cams that operate within an elastic phallic sleeve to locally cyclically expand a girth of the sleeve. Optional vibratory elements are positioned proximate a distal extremity of the sleeve, and in a laterally extending arm that is formed for clitoral stimulation. A battery powered control handle provides multiple operating modes and speeds.
Abstract:
An exercise aiding apparatus has: a step (2) on which user's foot can be placed; a step driving means (5) for causing the step (2) to move, and causing thereby the foot placed on the step to exercise; and a motion allowable zone modifying means for expanding a motion allowable range of the steps (2) established by the step driving means in accordance with a load acting on the step (2). The motion allowable range of the step (2) is expanded when the user intentionally increases the load acting on the step (2).
Abstract:
A spinal correction device that corrects the spinal column of a user comprising a lower limb exercising part that swings the lumber region to impart a symmetrical motion to positions symmetrical with respect to the spinal column of a user facing forward with his or her trunk erect, a pair of gripping parts provided in a position in front of the lower limb exercising part and gripped by both hands of the user, and a control unit that relatively moves the gripping parts with respect to the lower limb exercising part between the position in front of the lower limb exercising part and a lateral position, with the lower limb exercising part in a driven state.
Abstract:
Provided are a gait trainer which provides exercise prescription and an exercise prescription system using the gait trainer. The gait trainer comprises a display, pedals on which user's feet are placed, a control unit which receives physical information about the physical condition of the user while the pedals are moving, defines an optimal exercise prescription based on the physical information, and provides the defined exercise prescription to the display. The control unit accesses a server belonging to a health-related organization through a predetermined network, and defines the exercise prescription with the aid of the health expertise received from the server. Since the exercise prescription suitable for the user is provided, exercise efficiency is maximized and possible dangerous health situations can be prevented.
Abstract:
Apparatus for the quick and easy releasable attachment of any applicator to the operative head of any massage machine including a generally annular first plate threaded for permanent attachment to the massage machine head, the first plate including a series of openings formed therein and spaced at equal distances around the first plate, and a second plate for positioning on the top surface of the first plate and releasably attached to the base plate by hook and loop fastener, the second plate having the applicators attached at the top surface and including a series of studs spaced at equal distances around, and extending downward from, the bottom surface of the second plate so that the studs engage the openings in the first plate to appropriately align the first plate and the second plate and to resist dislodgement of the second plate, and the attached applicator, by eccentric forces incurred during use. The respective plates also can be provided sans openings and complementary studs with attachment of the two plates effected only by the hook and loop fastener. In either configuration, the applicator can be affixed to the second plate by direct bonding, by hook and loop fastener or by a threaded engagement.
Abstract:
A therapeutic device, such as an exercise device, includes the principles of osteogenic repair by incorporating a loading mechanism into the exercise device. By doing so, the therapeutic device provides an increased osteogenic effect, thereby enhancing the benefits of the therapy. As an example, a exercise device includes a support surface for supporting all or part of the bodily tissue of an individual using the device. A linear or rotary loading mechanism associated with the frame or a rotational element of the exercise device drives the support surface at a selected load and frequency, thereby inducing mechanical loading of bodily tissue adjacent to the support surface sufficiently to facilitate the growth, development, strengthening, and/or healing of bone tissue. The loading mechanism may be incorporated into any exercise device, including standard exercise devices such as rowing machines, stair climbing machines, elliptical trainers, bicycles, cross-country ski trainers, treadmills, or weight trainers.
Abstract:
A J-shaped vibrating massager and method for manufacture thereof. The J-shaped massager may consist of a J-shaped tubular rod, a head, one or more handles, control means, and vibratory means. Generally, the J-shaped tubular rod may also consist of a J-hook and a barrel. Typically, the head is located at the end of the J-hook opposite the barrel, while the vibratory means may be mounted in the head or anywhere along the length of the J-shaped tubular rod. The vibratory means induces vibrations in one or more portions of the J-shaped tubular rod, generally including the head. The vibrations massage surfaces in contact with the invention. Because the invention is generally J-shaped, a user may reach his or her own back with the head of the J-shaped massager in order to give himself a back massage. The invention may include a variety of tips having different sizes, materials, and shapes.
