Abstract:
A hand-held massaging system includes a swivel coupling for removably attaching a massage tool to a reciprocating motor having a shaft having a stroke axis and a stroke length. The swivel coupling consists of a thrust journal and a cylindrical cup, an inner diameter of the cup providing a swivel bearing and bottom of the cup forming a thrust bearing. When the shaft reciprocates at a forced frequency, the thrust journal is retained within the cup by stick-slip friction that allows the thrust journal to swivel within the cup and to slip along the stroke axis. The thrust journal and cup attach between the massage tool and the shaft.
Abstract:
A massage machine includes a seat unit on which a treatment subject person is configured to sit, a backrest unit configured to support a back of the person sitting on the seat unit, a base that is disposed in front of the backrest unit; and a treatment mechanism that is attached to the base configured to perform a massage on a shoulder of the person in a state where the person sits on the seat unit. The treatment mechanism includes a drive unit which includes an output shaft attached to the base and rotated by supplied power, and a treatment device configured to press the shoulder from above. In accordance with rotation of the output shaft, the treatment device oscillates in an upward/downward direction so as to perform the treatment on the shoulder.
Abstract:
A cleansing device for mammalian skin includes a cleansing head having a plurality of elastomeric cleansing features extending away from the first surface and having an aspect ratio of about 1:5 to 10:1. The cleansing head is attached to a handle adapted to apply oscillating movement to one or more cleansing head sections to provide a total displacement per oscillation of about 2 mm to 8 mm at a frequency of about 5 Hz to 30 Hz.
Abstract:
In a back massaging apparatus capable of projecting a massaging mechanism forward and returning the same to an original normal position, a motion amount is to be sufficient. The back massaging apparatus provided in a chair-type massaging machine includes: a massaging mechanism having: left and right paired massaging members each of which is provided with a treatment unit performing a massaging operation; and a drive unit transmitting a massaging operation to the massaging members; and a projection amount variable mechanism which moves the massaging members so that a projection amount of the treatment unit in the back and forth direction is varied.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a massaging device having two opposite massaging surfaces for massaging human body. A heating unit is encapsulated inside a casing, and the casing includes two parts that are releasably connected to each other, each part having a truncated shape of oblate spheroid. The invention exhibits numerous technical merits such as simpler but robust structure, improved manufacturability, and capability of maintaining warm temperature for longer period of time, among others.
Abstract:
A foot massage device capable of augmenting or restoring function of the transverse metatarsal ligament and alleviating foot pain felt by a user has increased massage effect on a user foot and is configured to be capable of imparting various stimuli to the user foot. A foot massage device includes: a cover body; a footrest including a footrest plate, a left/right rotary shaft, and a front/rear rotary shaft; an air bag including an inner instep air bag, a sole air bag, an outer instep air bag, and an ankle air bag; an air supply/exhaust device; a front/rear oscillation drive mechanism; and a base. The footrest plate oscillates left and right about the left/right rotary shaft in response to expansion and contraction of the air bag, and oscillates forward and backward about the front/rear rotary shaft in response to driving of the front/rear oscillation drive mechanism.
Abstract:
A lower limb bouncing device causes knee bouncing by stimulating the hip joint, or base end of a lower limb, while allowing the lower leg, or terminal end of the lower limb, to relax. The device includes: a flap and a motor coupled to the flap. The flap allows a heel resting surface to swing from the motor. The motor includes: an output axis with an eccentric cam; and a pivotable plate on the eccentric cam. The pivotable plate has an attached pivoting end. The flap is on an enclosure side so that the heel can be placed at a minimum height above the floor when the foot is placed on the floor surface. The flap connects to another end of the pivotable plate allowing swing movement by the pivotable plate pivoting around the attached end in response to rotation of the eccentric cam.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a massage apparatus having a massage pressure sensing and adapting drive mechanism (50). The apparatus comprises a movable base frame (30) at the bottom, a massage mechanism (40) and a pressure sensing and adapting drive mechanism (50). The massage mechanism (40) and the pressure sensing and adapting drive mechanism (50) are provided on the movable base frame (30). The massage mechanism (40) comprises a left and a right clamp plate (1), a linking post (2), a malaxation part and a pummelling part. The left and right clamp plates (1) are fixedly provided on the movable base frame (30), and the malaxation part and the pummelling part are provided between the left and right clamp plates (1). The massage apparatus is mainly used for a massage chair or massage bed, can automatically sense the massage pressure and can automatically adjust the message pressure in real-time within a provided pressure range according to the different body types of users. The massage apparatus can automatically adapt to changes in the height and the curvature of the back of the human body in the course of massaging, performing manipulation, malaxation, pummelling, and finger pressure massage on a person of any body type, and can provide the desired massage pressure.
Abstract:
A massage appliance capable of synchronous kneading and tapping includes: a power-driven vertically-moving device, including an outer portion having therein a sliding channel, and a vertically-moving rack disposed alongside the sliding channel; a device capable of synchronous kneading and tapping, including a housing portion having therein a power source for driving a first transmission device whereby a second transmission device is driven to drive a rotational inclined surface structure for driving an oscillating arm to oscillate laterally; an oscillating arm coupled to a massage head support, two infrared lamp plates and two massage heads, causing the massage heads to perform kneading-based massage, the first transmission device driving a third transmission device, whereas the third transmission device driving an eccentric cam, wherein an eccentric spindle is connected to a lever weight to pull the massage head support to perform tapping, thereby allowing the two massage heads to perform tapping-based massage.
Abstract:
A percussive massager is provided with a housing, a cushion, a percussive drive unit having a massage head with four spaced apart massage nodes, and a cover surrounding the massager. The nodes diametrically extend outwardly or upwardly from the exterior cushion surface to effect a rhythmic percussion to a user. The cover has at least two apertures through which the nodes protrude, and a flap extending over at least two of the massage nodes. The flap has a fastener to allow for removal of the flap from the cover. A percussive massager is also provided with a motor housing, a motor with a rotary output shaft, an elongated flexible rocker arm pivotally connected to the motor housing, and a massage node connected to an end region of the rocker arm. The flexible rocker arm deflects to provide compliance when the node contacts a massage surface.
