Abstract:
A device for multidimensional mobilization of lumbar, pelvic, and hip joints with a generally concave upper surface connected to a generally convex lower surface is disclosed, wherein the generally concave upper surface has a recess to cradle a sacrum.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods that assist a user in utilizing an exercise machine. An exercise support device enables a user to exercise without having to hold on to the exercise machine while exercising. The exercise support device has a belt that can be worn by a user. In embodiments, the belt is connected to arm assemblies, which can be coupled to the side rails of an exercise machine. The exercise support device provides balance for a user of an exercise machine, which can enhance the quality of a user's exercise.
Abstract:
An apparatus for displaying acupuncture points according to the present invention recognizes a curved surface of a human body via 3D scanning, and then sets acupuncture points corresponding to the body surface that has been recognized to project them onto the body. More specifically, the apparatus for displaying acupuncture points comprises: a 3D scanner for performing 3D scanning; a control unit for setting acupuncture points by using the data that has been scanned by the 3D scanner; and a projection unit for projecting the acupuncture points that have been set by the control unit onto the body. Accordingly, the present invention allows accurate selection of acupuncture points on a highly curved surface of a human body.
Abstract:
A total-body exerciser comprises: an upper-body exercising unit; a buttocks exercising unit; and an ankle exercising unit. The upper-body exercising unit comprises: an upper-body support for supporting the upper body; an upper-body supporting guide rail formed on the bottom surface of the upper-body support and enabling the upper-body support to move horizontally; and a rotating bracket mounted on a lower surface of the upper-body supporting guide rail. The buttocks exercising unit comprises: a buttocks support for supporting the buttocks; and a buttocks-supporting height-adjusting cylinder connected to a lower portion of the buttocks support, and capable of adjusting the height of the buttocks support. The ankle exercising unit comprises: an ankle support for supporting an ankle; an ankle-supporting guide rail formed on a bottom surface of the ankle support and enabling horizontal movement of the ankle support; and a rotating bracket mounted on a lower surface of the ankle-support guide rail.
Abstract:
Methods and systems of applying physical stimuli to tissue are disclosed. The methods can include reducing or suppressing pancreatitis in a subject by administering a low magnitude, high frequency mechanical signal on a period basis and for a time sufficient to reduce or suppress pancreatitis. The methods can include enhancing healing of damaged tissue in a subject by administering to the subject a low magnitude, high frequency mechanical signal on a periodic basis and for a time sufficient to treat the damaged tissue. The systems can include a device for generating a low magnitude, high frequency physical signal and a platform for applying the low magnitude, high frequency physical signal to the subject for a predetermined time.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for recognizing a gait motion are provided. The apparatus may set a gait motion recognition period based on measured right and left hip joint angle information, may input, to a trained neural network, right and left hip joint angle information and vertical acceleration information measured during the gait motion recognition period, and may recognize a gait motion.
Abstract:
A human spinal traction apparatus can include a platform. The platform can extend longitudinally between first and second ends. The platform can be sized, shaped, or otherwise configured to accommodate at least a portion of an average adult human user's torso resting prone upon the platform when the user's pelvis is located adjacent the first end of the platform. A pelvic brace can be positioned and oriented with respect to a first end of the platform so as to inhibit or prevent movement of the user's pelvis in a longitudinal direction along the platform when the portion of the user's torso is resting prone upon the platform. An upper body engagement member can be sized, shaped, or otherwise configured to engage a portion of an upper body of the user in a manner that is capable of allowing traction extending the user's spine in a longitudinal direction along the platform.
Abstract:
A motion assistance apparatus may include a first fixing member to be fixed to a portion of a user, a second fixing member to be fixed to another portion of the user, a driving source provided in the first fixing member, a power transmitting member connected between the driving source and the second fixing member, a sensing portion configured to sense a fixing state of the first fixing member or the second fixing member, and a controller configured to control the driving source based on information received from the sensing portion.
Abstract:
In embodiments, a mobility system can include a support member configured to engage a posterior region of a user and a mast attachable to the support member in proximity of a hip joint of the user. The mast is structured to extend above the user's waist along one side of the user. The mast can be at least partially lifted from the ground and repositioned when a weight of the user is shifted to a mobile leg of the user. The mast can also receive a force exerted on the support member by the user, such that the weight of the user is supported from an attachment site of the mast and the support member (i.e., from an attachment point near the user's hip joint) when the weight of the user is shifted away from the mobile leg of the user.
Abstract:
A driving module may include: an object fix member configured to be fixed to an object; a first sub-module including a body portion, connected to a first side of the object fix member, and a first rotating member, connected rotatably to the body portion; a second sub-module including an extension link, connected to a second side of the object fix member, and a second rotating member, connected rotatably to the extension link; and/or a power transmitting member connected to the first rotating member and the second rotating member, and configured to transmit power.
