Abstract: An ambulatory medical device is provided. The ambulatory medical device includes at least one sensor configured to acquire physiological data of a patient, at least one network interface and at least one processor coupled to the at least one sensor and the at least one network interface. The at least one processor is configured to detect, via the at least one network interface, a medical device, to establish a secure communication session with the medical device via the at least one network interface, to detect a data capacity of the secure communication session, to identify a category of patient data associated with the data capacity, and to transmit patient data of the category to the medical device via the secure communication session.

Abstract: Disclosed are a joint manipulation device and system for increasing the range of motion of a joint of a user, and monitoring the compliance of the user's operation of the joint manipulation device to standards or guidelines set by a monitoring entity. Certain sensors associated with the joint manipulation device may cause an indicator to transmit an alert to the user based on whether or not the device is sufficiently engaged with a limb or joint of the user to be considered in compliance. Additionally, progress data associated with the range of motion of the user's joint may be obtained by a sensor assembly and transmitted to one or more systems associated with the device system. Progress data obtained during a period of non-compliant use of the device may be excluded from the transmitted data, thereby generating a set of compliant progress data for accurate analysis of device effectiveness.

Abstract: An ambulatory assist device includes: an ambulatory engine configured to be mounted at a waist of a user, the ambulatory engine comprising a motor and a controller; an article of clothing wearable by the user and integrated with one or more cables coupled to the motor; and one or more shoes wearable on feet of the user, each shoe coupled to a respective cable via a connector. The controller is configured to: receive sensor data from one or more sensors located on the user; analyze the sensor data to determine gait phases of the user; selectively control the motor to tension the one or more cables and provide an assistive force to the feet of the user during a push off phase of a gait cycle.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for preventing tipping of a walking aid including a sensor configured to detect an angle of tilt in a forward direction of a walking aid, an actuator configured to determine whether the angle of tilt crosses a pre-set threshold, and a retractable support that prevents tipping of the walking aid, wherein the actuator causes the retractable support to extend from the walking aid in the forward direction to limit the tilt of the walking aid when the actuator determines that the angle of tilt crosses the pre-set threshold.

Abstract: Non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) systems and methods are disclosed that measure a blood pressure, and in some examples a beat-to-beat blood pressure, of a patient without restricting blood flow. The NIBP systems determine an efficacy of administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the patient based on the measured blood pressure and are able to optionally output the CPR efficacy or generate user prompts based on the CPR efficacy. Further, the disclosed NIBP systems can generate user instructions to administer further treatment to the patient based on the CPR efficacy.
