    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transmitting and a method for reconstructing channel quality information in a communication system. Further, the invention also provides a transmitter and receiver performing these methods, respectively. The invention suggests a scheme for communicating channel quality measures that on the one hand allows for an accurate reconstruction of the channel quality measures at the receiver and on the other hand requires an acceptable transmission overhead. This is achieved by partitioning channel quality measures into at least two partitions and to compress the values partition-wise, for example by means of a discrete cosine transform and the transmission of only a subset of the resulting coefficients.

The method includes transporting the MIMO feedback information, configuration information, or both over an uplink relay link using higher layer signaling. Also included is a method for providing uplink data transmission over an access link. The method includes transporting the uplink data over an uplink access link using orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing access (OFDMA). Also included is a relay node comprising a processor configured to promote transmitting MIMO feedback information, configuration information, or both over an uplink relay link using higher layer signaling.     Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for transmitting uplink control signaling in a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH). The method includes: when two transport blocks/codewords are transmitted in the PUSCH, mapping uplink control signaling to the layer corresponding to one of the two transport blocks/codewords to transmit. The present invention also discloses an apparatus for transmitting uplink control signaling in the PUSCH. The apparatus includes: a mapping unit, used for mapping uplink control signaling to the layer corresponding to one of two transport blocks/codewords when the two transport blocks/codewords are transmitted in the PUSCH; and a transmission unit, used for transmitting the uplink control signaling. The present invention effectively solves the problem of transmitting uplink control signaling in the PUSCH when the PUSCH uses spatial multiplexing in an LTE-A system.
