Abstract:
Placing a call on hold provides advantages to the party initiating the hold. The party may engage in another call or perform another action and return to the call when convenient, provided the party placed on hold is still on the call. The party on hold monitors the inactive call and waits until the call is reactivated. The party on hold is provided with a means to alert the other party via a session initiation protocol (SIP) message formatted as a ring-ping message. The message is sent to the party who placed the call on hold and the user's device activates an indicator, such as to alert the holding party that the held party wishes to re-engage the call. If the holding party does not un-hold the call or otherwise acknowledge the ring-ping indicator, another action can be initiated, such as by inviting another party to join the call.
Abstract:
A computing apparatus uses an interactive user assessment test to identify and/or assess the need and skills of the user as part of an enrollment process for the user to register for the services of the system that provides real time communications connections between users and advisers. The advisers provide coaching services over real time communications connections provided via the system. A recommendation engine is configured to use the assessment results to recommend advisers for the user based on the need and skills of the user, as well as the real time availability of the advisers to provide the coaching services.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of routing calls may include receiving a plurality of calls, and for each of the plurality of calls, determining a threshold time that may be a maximum service time for the call, estimating an expected service time for the call, comparing the threshold time with the expected service time for the call, and assigning the call into one of a plurality of queues based upon the comparing. The method of routing may further include prioritizing the plurality of queues based upon the expected service time for each call in each of the plurality of queues, directing each call in a first queue of the plurality of queues to a first group of agents, and providing a callback prompt to each call in a second queue of the plurality of queues, wherein a priority of the first queue is higher than a priority of the second queue.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are described for recording screen data and audio data relating to a call. The screen recording session is initiated and terminated within the controller, based on correlation between audio data and screen data from the call, without requiring involvement with a controller or Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) layer.
Abstract:
A method and system for providing an intelligent reminder by a device for returning a call to a calling party after receiving an incoming call. The system detects an incoming call and displays to a user an option for creating an intelligent reminder that, when triggered, reminds a user to commence a return call with the calling party. An intelligent reminder is triggered when the system identifies a condition associated with the device which satisfies a trigger condition associated with the intelligent reminder. A trigger condition can identify, for example, a geographic location. After determining that a trigger condition has been met, the system generates an alert, which includes an option to commence a return call with the calling party. The system may commence a call after receiving a selection by the user of the option to commence the call.
Abstract:
An electronic device and a method thereof area provided. The electronic device includes a communication circuit configured to communicate with at least one or more external electronic devices as a call reservation target, a processor electrically connected with the communication circuit, and a memory electrically connected with the processor. The processor determines a type of a call reservation request from information inputted through a user input requesting a call reservation and controls the communication circuit to perform at least one of transmitting schedule information of the electronic device to the at least one external electronic device and transmitting a request for schedule information of the at least one external electronic device, based on the type of the call reservation request.
Abstract:
A voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) positioning center (VPC) is implemented in configuration with support from a text-to-voice module, emergency routing database, and VoIP switching points (VSPs) to allow a public safety access point (PSAP) or other emergency center to effectively communicate the nature of an emergency alert notification and the area of notification to the VoIP positioning center (VPC). The inventive VPC in turn determines which phones (including wireless and/or VoIP phones) are currently in the area for notification, and reliably and quickly issues the required warning to all affected wireless and VoIP phones.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal having a push-to-talk (PTT) function, including: a controller that, upon detection of an operation for terminating a predefined call mode, maintains the predefined call mode for a period of predefined time, and terminates the predefined call mode upon elapse of the period; a display that displays remaining time to termination of the predefined call mode; and a remaining time changer that, upon detection of an operation for changing the remaining time, changes the remaining time according to the operation for changing the remaining time.
Abstract:
A system and method include a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions, which when executed by the processor, causes the processor to allocate interactions to a server based on a function of a criteria over time, where the server can only handle a determined number of interactions at a time.
Abstract:
A conference apparatus reduces or eliminates noise in audio for endpoints in a conference. Endpoints in the conference are designated as a primary talker and as secondary talkers. Audio for the endpoints is processed with speech detectors to characterize the audio as speech or not and to determine energy levels of the audio. As the audio is written to buffers and then read from the buffers, decisions for the gain settings of faders for read audio of the endpoints being combined in the speech selective mix. In addition, the conference apparatus can mitigate the effects of a possible speech collision that may occur during the conference between endpoints.
