Abstract:
Conversation information is provided to a conversation participant. Audio data is received a client device associated with a conversation participant. The client device maintains a buffer of received audio data, for instance audio data received in a previous interval of time. A recall request is received by the client device for information associated with the buffered audio data. The buffered audio data is analyzed responsive to the recall request to identify the requested information. The identified information is then presented at the client device.
Abstract:
A computer based system and method for translation and communication of messages includes sending a message in a source language using a transmission protocol from a first client device to a second client device. The source language message is transmitted using a transmission protocol to a translation server for translating the message from the source language to a destination language by either the first or second client device. The message, in its destination language form, is displayed and stored. The translation server is either on-line or off-line. Text-to-voice and voice-to-text converters are used for conversion of original text messages to voice, or of original voice to text, for transmission to the second client device.
Abstract:
An independent calling system (ICS) used in a transaction between a waiting party and a queuing party includes the queuing party having a queuing calling system (QCS) with the ICS adapted to communicate with the QCS and determine a hold status of the transaction.
Abstract:
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a server including a controller to receive audio signals and content identification information from a media processor, generate text representing a voice message based on the audio signals, determine an identity of media content based on the content identification information, generate an enhanced message having text and additional content where the additional content is obtained by the controller based on the identity of the media content, and transmit the enhanced message to the media processor for presentation on the display device, where the enhanced message is accessible by one or more communication devices that are associated with a social network and remote from the media processor. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract:
Delivery of a text message and/or voice mail message may include identifying a recipient of the message, receiving a notification indicative of one of the subscriber's availability, the subscriber's presence and the subscriber's location, recording the message, selectively converting a voice mail message to a text message based on the notification, and delivering either the text message or the voice mail message to a device of the recipient based on the notification. The text message and/or voice mail message may be delivered via a map, wherein selection of a location on the map may retrieve the text message and/or voice mail message.
Abstract:
Techniques for a personalized Bluetooth headset and a voice interaction control method thereof are described. According to one aspect of the present invention, the Bluetooth headset is configured to create and maintain a voice-based table. Each item in the table includes a phone number paired with a set of audio data (e.g., a voice or a predefined audio), where the audio data is created by a user. When a paired mobile device receives a call, the table is searched per the caller number. A corresponding audio is played back first when an item is located in the table. As such a user of the Bluetooth headset knows who is calling and determines whether the call shall be answered or not.
Abstract:
A system includes: a computerized appliance having a processor; and software executing on the computerized appliance from a non-transitory physical medium, the software providing: establishment of a communication session over a network between two or more end communications appliances; detection and recording of at least media channel capabilities on individual end communications appliances connected in the session; service of media channel toggle options to end communications appliances; detection of media channel toggle option selections made by users operating the end communications appliances; and implementation of the media channel toggle option or options selected for individual communications sessions.
Abstract:
One-to-many comparisons of callers' words and/or voice prints with known words and/or voice prints to identify any substantial matches between them. When a customer communicates with a particular entity, such as a customer service center, the system makes a recording of the real-time call including both the customer's and agent's voices. The system segments the recording to extract different words, such as words of anger. The system may also segment at least a portion of the customer's voice to create a tone profile, and it formats the segmented words and tone profiles for network transmission to a server. The server compares the customer's words and/or tone profiles with multiple known words and/or tone profiles stored on a database to determine any substantial matches. The identification of any matches may be used for a variety of purposes, such as providing representative feedback or customer follow-up.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to voicemail categorization and access. An apparatus, for example a PBX, is provided for categorizing voicemails. The apparatus is configured to store voicemail messages and to determine and store metadata associated with the voicemail messages. The apparatus allows searches of the stored voicemail messages to be performed using the associated metadata. A user interface may reside on a user device or be provided by the apparatus. The interface allows other user to search for voicemails using the metadata associated with them and subsequently displays information about the voicemails which match the search criteria.
Abstract:
