Abstract:
Aspects of this invention relate to an adjustable bed that may include providing a plurality of values that may define a range of available positions for an adjustable bed; receiving a request to save a position of the adjustable bed as a user selected position; determining which of the plurality of values may represent a current position of the adjustable bed to provide a current position value; storing an association of the current position value with the user selected position, forming a store position value; receiving a request to return the adjustable bed to the user selected position; adjusting the adjustable bed to a position corresponding to the store position value.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a spacer fabric with advanced cushionability, flexibility, and thermal conductivity, and a method of fabricating the same. In accordance with the present invention, the spacer fabric is useful as a car seat fabric. In particular, the spacer fabric is applicable to a car seat equipped with an actuator and a heating/cooling apparatus inside, due to the advanced flexibility for transferring the actuator moving effect to the body, the increased cushionability for minimizing the hardness of the surface of the device, and the high thermal conductivity for effectively transferring the quick heating/cooling effect to the body.
Abstract:
This is a device to provide massaging stimulus to a driver of an automobile. Massaging heads are installed in the headrest of the car or truck or any moving vehicle to provide stimulus to the base of the skull or the back of the neck of the driver in order to insure that the driver remains alert.
Abstract:
An ergonomic support mountable on various seat frames has a static portion (52) with anchors and mounts. The mounts adapt to fix said static portion to varying seat frames. An active portion (54) is operatively engaged with the anchors of the static portion such that the active portion can move in and out of a plane defined by the frame of the seat. The active portion has a pressure surface with a smooth base level (64). There are convexities (62) in the base level that impart a massage effect on a seat occupant. At least one actuator engages the active portion but only by an actuating linkage.
Abstract:
A massage chair of the present invention is adapted to give a massage to a user (M) using a massaging element (1) attached to a massaging unit (2). The massage chair comprises a body-shape-information acquisition section (3a) for acquiring body-shape information of the user (M) based on loads imposed on the massaging element (1) from respective regions of the user (M), a shoulder-position detection section (3b) for detecting a shoulder position of the user (M) based on the body-shape information, and a shoulder-position identification section (3c). The shoulder-position identification section (3c) is operable to thrust the massaging element (1) in a direction for a target protrusion distance at the detected shoulder position while measuring a load imposed on the massaging element (1). Then, the shoulder-position identification section (3c) is operable, based on the measured load, to determine whether the detected shoulder position is a true shoulder position. Further, when the detected shoulder position is determined to be mismatched with the true shoulder position, the shoulder-position identification section (3c) is operable to vertically move the massaging unit (2) while re-measuring a load imposed on the massaging element (1), so as to identify the true shoulder position based on the re-measure load.
Abstract:
Method, procedure, and device for applying tactile sensation and vibration to the human body. In this invention one (or more vibrating) elements emit sine waves between 20 and 800 Hz. These waves are varied in frequency, amplitude and rhythm to create in the subject the sensation of massage moving through different parts of the body even though the signal emitter may be a point source.
Abstract:
An armrest and backrest synchronous adjustment device for a massage chair comprises a base, a backrest, at least two armrests and two rail members. The base is formed with a space. The backrest is pivoted on the base and located correspondingly to the space of the base. The armrests are pivoted to the base, and lower end of each of the armrests is located correspondingly to the space of the base. The rail members are mounted at the lower end of the armrests or the backrest and located in the space of the base, on each of the rail members is formed a slot that is used to rotate the armrests when the backrest is adjusted.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a chair, particularly to one provided with a massage device positioned in a seat, backrest, thigh rest or armest. The massage device is composed of a frame and massage roller unit consisting of plural rows of massage rollers fixed in the frame. Two pivotal plates are provided with a center shaft hole for center shaft and two shaft holes respectively for a center shaft and two independent shafts to fit pivotally therein and string each row of the massage rollers. The center shaft is pivotally connected with the inner side of the frame, enabling the massage roller device rotate with the center shaft as a pivot. So when a user rests the body on the massage device, he/she shifts the body to get massage function by the massage surface of the massage roller device.
Abstract:
A massaging cushion includes a base, a massaging device, a displacement device, at least one positioning switch, a front seat, a controller, and an electric plug. Thus, the massaging cushion is an individual body, so that the massaging cushion is directly mounted on a seat of a car without having to detach the seat of the car and without having to buy a massaging seat especially, thereby decreasing costs of fabrication and assembly of the massaging cushion. In addition, the massaging cushion is directly mounted on the seat of a vehicle so that the massaging cushion is available for vehicles of different kinds, thereby enhancing the versatility of the massaging cushion.
Abstract:
A massage system is provided that includes a motor having an output shaft and at least one sliding block connected to the output shaft. The massage system also includes at least one bellows. Each bellows is connected to a corresponding one of the sliding blocks and is moveable between an extended position and a retracted position. When each bellows is moved from the extended to the retracted position air is expelled from the bellows. Similarly, when each bellows is moved from the retracted to the extended position air is taken into the bellows. Operation of the motor causes each sliding block to move between a first position and a second position, such that in the first position each sliding block compresses a corresponding one of the bellows to the retracted position and in the second position each sliding block releases said corresponding one of the bellows to the extended position.
