    Abstract: Hybrid dual layer filter can be employed can be employed as filters. A multispectral imager comprises a two layer filter array monolithically integrated onto detector array, a top layer of pigment based filter and a lower layer of plasmonic nano-optic filter to make a low cost and narrow bandwidth filter without side leaking or side peaks. Multispectral imager comprises a microlens array, a mosaic patterned optical filter array underlying the microlens array and including a two-dimensional repetition of a unit mosaic pattern, and a pixelated detector array underlying the mosaic patterned optical filter array. The unit mosaic pattern comprises an array of composite filter elements having different peaks in a respective transmittance spectrum. Each composite filter element comprises a pigment based filter portion and a plasmonic nano-optic filter portion.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device comprising: a color filter layer; and a light-emitting device which comprises a light source and a color conversion layer containing a quantum dot, wherein the color filter layer at least comprises a blue color filter, a green color filter and a red color filter, the red color filter is formed from a red-coloring composition comprising a coloring agent (AR), a binder (WR) and a solvent (ER) and meets the requirement represented by formula (Q1): 0.1≦FR×CR≦1.0 [wherein FR represents the thickness (μm) of the red color filter; and CR represents the ratio of the amount of the coloring agent (AR) to the total amount of the coloring agent (AR) and the binder (WR) in the red-coloring composition], the green color filter is formed from a green-coloring composition comprising a coloring agent (AG), a binder (WG) and a solvent (EG) and meets the requirement represented by formula (Q2): 0.1≦FG×CG≦1.2 [wherein FG represents the thickness (μm) of the green color filter; and CG represents the ratio of the amount of the coloring agent (AG) to the total amount of the coloring agent (AG) and the binder (WG) in the green-coloring composition], the blue color filter is formed from a blue-coloring composition comprising a coloring agent (AB), a binder (WB) and a solvent (EB) and meets the requirement represented by formula (Q3): 0.1≦FB×CB≦1.0 [wherein F5 represents the thickness (μm) of the blue color filter; and CB represents the ratio of the amount of the coloring agent (AB) to the total amount of the coloring agent (AB) and the binder (WB) in the blue-coloring composition], an emission spectrum of light emitted from the light-emitting device has a first emission peak, a second emission peak and a third emission peak, the wavelength (λ1) of the first emission peak ranges from 420 to 480 nm, the wavelength (λ2) of the second emission peak ranges from 500 to 550 nm, and the wavelength (λ3) of the third emission peak ranges from 580 to 650 nm.
