Abstract: In some embodiments, systems, apparatuses and methods are provided herein that enable delivery of retail products. Some embodiments provide delivery systems comprising: a package support frame comprising first and second package supports, and a pivot coupler pivotably securing the first package support with the second package support; and a first release plate positioned across a separation between the first and second package supports, and comprising: a set of at least one angled locking grooves; a set of at least one groove pins slidably positioned within a respective one of the locking grooves; and a release tab configured to contact a surface and cause an unlocking of the first release plate such that the release plate moves with the locking grooves sliding along respective groove pins such that the base of the package support pivots away from the base of the second package support enlarging a package release aperture.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods for indicating a moveable device such as an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are disclosed herein. The present technology provides an illumination system having a light source and an illuminating component. In a representative embodiment, the light source is carried by a UAV and positioned to emit a light ray in a first direction. The illuminating component is carried by a propeller of the UAV. The illuminating component can include a light entrance portion, a light transmission portion, and a light exit portion. The light entrance portion is positioned to receive the light ray from the light source, the light transmission portion is positioned to transmit the light ray to the light exit portion, and the light exit portion is positioned to direct the light ray in a second direction so as to form a visual indication corresponding to the UAV.

Sensor readings that identify a presence of water in the area are received, and one or more processors determine a confidence level L that the water in the area is stagnant water. The flying drone is then directed to perform an amelioration action against the mosquito larvae based a value of the determined confidence level L.

Abstract: In a system for performing a task in an operating region, there is a plurality of agents. Each of the plurality of agents has a start position in the operating region and an end position in the operating region. There is a ground control device comprising: a processor; and a storage device for storing one or more routines which, when executed under control of the processor, control the ground control device to: divide the operating region into a plurality of sub-regions based on the start and end positions of the plurality of agents so as to assign ones of the plurality of agents to each sub-region, wherein a number of the ones of the plurality of agents in each sub-region is smaller than a number of the plurality of agents in the operating region; generate sub-region data of each of the sub-regions; and generate a plurality of paths of movement based on the sub-region data of the sub-regions for allowing the plurality of agents to move in the operating region to perform the task.

Abstract: Aerial vehicles may be operated with discrete sets of propellers, which may be selected for a specific purpose or on a specific basis. The discrete sets of propellers may be operated separately or in tandem with one another, and at varying power levels. For example, a set of propellers may be selected to optimize the thrust, lift, maneuverability or efficiency of an aerial vehicle based on a position or other operational characteristic of the aerial vehicle, or an environmental condition encountered by the aerial vehicle. At least one of the propellers may be statically or dynamically imbalanced, such that the propeller emits a predetermined sound during operation. A balanced propeller may be specifically modified to cause the aerial vehicle to emit the predetermined sound by changing one or more parameters of the balanced propeller and causing the balanced propeller to be statically or dynamically imbalanced.

Abstract: A landing sequence for the unmanned aerial vehicle (“UAV”) wherein once the landing sequence is initiated, the UAV detects the operator's hand after hovering at an operative height, then the UAV begins a dissent at an operative rate toward the operators hands reducing the lift generated by the UAV until a time where the operator's hand exerts enough pressure on the bottom of the UAV to trigger the UAV to cut all power to the motors thereby landing the UAV in the operator's hand giving the operator the ability to “catch” the UAV in their hand and not risk landing the UAV in an undesirable location.

The systems and methods may include: receiving, at a computing device comprising a processor, first frame data defining a first location for each of a plurality of drones in a first image of the aerial show; receiving, at the computing device, second frame data defining a second location for each of the plurality of drones in a second image of the aerial show; and generating the morphing sequence, the morphing sequence defining a flightpath for each of the plurality of drones to transition from the first location associated with the first image to the second location associated with the second image.
