Abstract:
A propane system including a refillable and reusable propane cylinder having a volume configured for containing no more than about one pound of propane and a valve assembly detachably coupled to the cylinder. The valve assembly includes a swivel outlet connector configured for operatively coupling the valve assembly to an appliance, a manually activated flow valve arranged for selectively preventing a flow of propane from the cylinder to the appliance, a relief valve and a fixed liquid level gauge configured for alerting a safe filling level of the propane cylinder during cylinder refilling. A back check valve is contained at least partially within a space defined by the swivel outlet connector for selectively allowing the flow of propane out of the valve assembly to a propane fueled appliance or into the valve assembly from a propane source and into the cylinder.
Abstract:
A gas fuel supply apparatus includes: first and second mouthpiece attachment sections capable of detachably attaching thereto mouthpieces of first and second gas containers and provided in communication with each other; and first and second check valves provided in a communication passage, communicating between the mouthpiece attachment sections, in corresponding relation to the first and second gas containers. The first and second check valves prevent a gas fuel, let out from any one of the first and second gas containers, from flowing into the other of the gas containers.
Abstract:
A replaceable cartridge for coupling to a consumer or to a filling station, wherein the replaceable cartridge comprises at least one disconnectable connection coupling for connection to the consumer or the filling station. Furthermore, the replaceable cartridge comprises a tank for holding liquid hydrogen.
Abstract:
A pressure vessel capable of securely sealing a mouth ring with a liner portion, and being manufactured at low costs. A boss seal part 112 is provided in a liner portion 11 of the pressure vessel, and an inner peripheral surface of a boss part 20 of a mouth ring 2 is covered with the boss seal part 112. A boss-side collar part 114 is provided in the boss seal part 112 so as to project outwardly, and a sealing member 4 composed of a resilient body is disposed in a space between an inner peripheral surface of the boss seal part 112 and an outer peripheral surface of the valve 3.
Abstract:
A seal for a vessel is disclosed which militates against a leakage of fluid during expansion and contraction of the vessel due to changes pressure and temperature. Inner sealing surfaces of the seal form substantially fluid-tight seals in response to at least one of temperatures below a predetermined temperature and pressures below a predetermined pressure and outer sealing surfaces of the seal form substantially fluid-tight seals in response to at least one of temperatures above the predetermined temperature and pressures above the predetermined pressure.
Abstract:
The diagnostic method for a Diesel engine for determining whether this engine, or at least one device connected thereto, is affected by one or several malfunctions negatively influencing the degree of pollution of the exhaust gases produced by this engine, comprises the steps of analyzing the level of an exhaust gas or the evolution of this level, alone or together with the level or evolution of the level of another gas, according to a predetermined state of the engine and characterizing, from said analysis, any malfunction (s) affecting the Diesel engine and/or the devices associated with it. The invention also concerns a device for implementing this method and a computer program executable on the device.
Abstract:
A pressure tank blank made of a thermoplastic, having a body, which merges via a shoulder into a neck and a mouth, which is implemented for screwing in a valve, is usable for gases under high pressure, if the blank has a metal insert enveloped by the plastic on the interior to reinforce at least the shoulder of the blank. This pressure tank blank may be produced in an extrusion blow-molding method. For this purpose, with open blow mold, a metal insert having the inner contour of at least the shoulder of the blank is introduced into the corresponding area of the cavity of the blow mold and the tube, enclosing this metal insert, is extruded into the blow mold, before it is closed.
Abstract:
A pressure vessel and method for producing a pressure vessel is disclosed. The pressure vessel comprises a liner shell fabricated from composite material applied to a soluble mandrel having a body shaped to pattern an interior of the pressure vessel, the liner shell having an opening, a boss having an aperture therethrough, the boss sealingly bonded to the liner shell with the aperture adjacent the opening, and an outer shell fabricated from plies of composite material filament impregnated with matrix material wound over the liner shell and the boss, but not over the aperture.
Abstract:
A storage vessel for storing a fluid substance, said storage vessel including a plurality of abutting individually sealed storage chambers, each chamber capable of withstanding super atmospheric pressure, with adjacent chambers forming at least one fluid passageway therebetween, characterised in that at least one said chamber includes an external peripheral seal configured to be relatively weaker than the remainder of said vessel.
Abstract:
A fire extinguisher device for aircraft has a hanger structure (4) and a reservoir (3) of extinguishing agent, said reservoir being hung beneath said hanger structure by metal fittings (300, 301a, 301b) held by fasteners to said hanger structure. Said extinguisher is characterized in that the reservoir (3) has means of suspension (31) and the hanger structure (4) has carriers (41) complementary to the means of suspension (31), said means of suspension and said carriers being such that when the fasteners are withdrawn, the reservoir (3) is in a position called the “intermediate position,” in which the metal fittings (300, 301a, 301b) are free and the reservoir (3) is suspended by interaction of the means of suspension (31) and the carriers (41). The invention also relates to a method for fastening such an extinguishing device.
