Abstract: To provide a hydrostatic pressure type high temperature and high-pressure treatment apparatus by a wet method and a dry method for efficiently mass-producing high-quality and large-sized synthetic diamond. In the treatment apparatus, a high-pressure cell prevented from the intrusion of a pressure medium into the inside is housed in a high-pressure container, and hydrostatic pressurization is performed by the liquid pressure medium. At least one pressurizing mechanism 10 for the pressure medium 6 is provided, and a pressure medium having a known compressibility and volume change rate is used. A heating mechanism for the pressure medium and a measuring means for the average temperature in the vertical direction are provided, the pressure medium is heated to a predetermined temperature to be thermally expanded, treatment is continued while maintaining the pressure even after the pressurizing mechanism is stopped, and two or more high-pressure cells 9 can be simultaneously subjected to high-temperature and high-pressure treatment at uniform pressure without directionality.

Abstract: Polycrystalline compacts include a polycrystalline superabrasive material comprising a first plurality of grains of superabrasive material having a first average grain size and a second plurality of grains of superabrasive material having a second average grain size smaller than the first average grain size. The first plurality of grains is dispersed within a substantially continuous matrix of the second plurality of grains. Earth-boring tools may include a body and at least one polycrystalline compact attached thereto. Methods of forming polycrystalline compacts may include coating relatively larger grains of superabrasive material with relatively smaller grains of superabrasive material, forming a green structure comprising the coated grains, and sintering the green structure. Other methods include mixing diamond grains with a catalyst and subjecting the mixture to a pressure greater than about five gigapascals (5.0 GPa) and a temperature greater than about 1,300° C. to form a polycrystalline diamond compact.

Abstract: Polycrystalline diamond constructions are formed from a mixture of diamond grains including a first volume of fine-sized diamond grains, and a second volume of coarse-sized diamond grains. The fine-sized diamond grains are partially graphitized, and the coarse-sized diamond grains are not graphitized. The mixture of diamond grains is subjected to high pressure/high temperature sintering process conditions in the presence of a sintering aid thereby forming polycrystalline diamond. Contact areas between coarse-sized diamond grains in the polycrystalline diamond construction are substantially free of graphite.

Abstract: The present invention relates to new products and processes for making and using hop extract products comprising hop oils present in amounts between about 6 mL/100 g to about 40 mL/100 g, or more. The oil enriched hop extracts of the present invention also contain higher proportions of oil relative to other hop components typically found in hop extracts. Production of the oil enriched hop extracts may comprise a partial or a first extraction of hop materials. In one preferred embodiment, such extraction may occur under pressures of 1700 psi to about 3700 psi for less than three hours. The enriched oil extracts of the present invention can be used to produce beers having enhanced aroma and flavor profiles. The present invention also relates to products and processes for making and using second extractions of hop materials comprising alpha acids present in amounts of, for example, about 50% to about 70% (w/w).
