    Abstract: A printer that incorporates a spectrometry device includes a spectroscope, a distance measurer, and a spectrometry unit. The spectroscope includes a wavelength-selective interference filter on which light from a position of measurement in a medium is incident. The distance measurer measures the distance between the position of measurement and the spectroscope, and the spectrometry unit performs spectrometry at the position of measurement by using the spectroscope and correct a measured value obtained by the spectrometry based on the measured distance.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus generates color conversion data in which first color component values in a first color space are associated with second color component values in a second color space. The apparatus executes determining a reference curve that takes a maximum value in the second color space among curves representing gradations of color components in the first color space; determining interpolation guide curves that represent a maximum gradation and a minimum gradation of a color component to be interpolated in the first color space; executing colorimetry on color patches corresponding to second color component values in the reference and interpolation guide curves; interpolating second color component values not included in the reference and interpolation guide curves, based on the second color component values obtained by the colorimetry; and generating the color conversion data by using the second color component values obtained by the colorimetry and the interpolation.

    Abstract: A colour measurement device includes a measurement array (MA) which includes: a plurality of illumination arrays (20, 30, 40) for exposing a measurement spot (MS) on a measurement object (MO) to illumination light in an actual illumination direction (2, 3, 4) in each case, and a pick-up array (50) for detecting the measurement light reflected by the measurement spot (MS) in an actual observation direction (5) and for converting it into preferably spectral reflection factors; and a controller for the illumination arrays and the pick-up array and for processing the electrical signals produced by the pick-up array. The controller is embodied to process the measured reflection factors on the basis of a correction model, such that distortions in the measurement values as compared to nominal illumination and/or observation directions, caused by angular errors in the illumination arrays and/or the pick-up array, are corrected.

    Abstract: A measuring device is a measuring device that performs colorimetry of an evaluation patch formed on a medium and a paper white patch that is a portion exposed by the medium. The measuring device has a light source portion that irradiates the medium with an illumination light, a measurement portion that acquires an amount of light from the medium as a measurement value, a memory that holds a paper white standard value that is a reference measurement value of the paper white patch, and a colorimetry unit that corrects a measurement value of the evaluation patch based on the measurement value of the paper white patch and the paper white standard value. Even in a case where a measurement position is changed, a reflectance of the evaluation patch is accurately calculated and a chromaticity of the evaluation patch can be accurately acquired.
