A swing hinge device of a portable terminal that can move in a straight line or a curved direction when a folder rotates is provided. The portable terminal includes a body housing, a display unit, a folder rotating about first and second hinge axes on the body housing, and a connection member rotatively connecting the folder with the body housing. The swing hinge device includes a base member coupled to the connection member; a rotation member coupled to the folder; first and second guide pins; a first guide member coupled to the first guide pin, for guiding the straight movement of the first guide pin when the rotation member rotates about the second hinge axis; and a second guide member, coupled to the second guide pin, for guiding the curved movement of the second guide pin when the rotation member rotates about the second hinge axis.

A semiconductor memory device includes a first conductive line on a semiconductor substrate, an interlayer insulating layer on the first conductive line, a second conductive line on the interlayer insulating layer, and a memory cell in an hole through the interlayer insulating layer wherein the first and second conductive lines cross, the memory cell including a discrete resistive memory material region disposed in the hole and electrically connected between the first and second conductive lines. The resistive memory material region may be substantially contained within the hole. In some embodiments, contact between the resistive memory material region and the interlayer insulating layer is substantially limited to sidewalls of the interlayer insulating layer in the hole.
Abstract:
A vacuum type pickup apparatus may include an absorption pad having an absorption inlet for contacting and/or picking up an object. A pad holder may be connected to the absorption pad. The pad holder may also have a vacuum line. A separator may be provided in the pad holder for forcibly releasing the object from the absorption inlet of the absorption pad. During the forcible release of the object, the air around the absorption pad may be drawn into the pad holder, thus reducing or preventing the potential contamination by impurities of the object as well as the equipment around the object. Also, an additional vacuum extinguisher may not be required, thus simplifying the structure of the vacuum type pickup apparatus and reducing installation costs. Furthermore, the object may be picked up and released in a relatively expedient, safe, and accurate manner, despite the suction force of the vacuum that may be maintained in the pad holder.

A flexible printed circuit board and a bracket structure for the hard disk drive. The flexible printed circuit board includes a base layer, a circuit layer provided on the base layer, a cover layer provided on the circuit layer, and a filter layer interposed between the base layer and the circuit layer. Also, the bracket structure includes a flexible printed circuit board for driving an actuator, a bracket connected to the flexible printed circuit board, and a filter interposed between the flexible printed circuit board and the bracket. Thermal asperity caused by fine particles in the hard disk drive is prevented so that performance deterioration of the hard disk drive is prevented and reliability thereof is improved.

Provided are a digital data tagging apparatus for generating sensory and environmental information as a tag and endowing digital data with the sensory and environmental information that is automatically extracted using sensory sensor data and environmental sensor data, all of which are sensed by humans through their sensory organs, and a system and method for providing a tagging and search service using sensory and environmental information. The digital data tagging apparatus, and the system and method for providing a tagging and search service may be useful to enable users to search and use digital data more effectively and abundantly through the later use of the sensory and environmental information by collectively recognizing sensory and environmental information and automatically or manually endowing digital data with the recognized sensory and environmental information as a tag, wherein the sensory and environmental information are sensed by humans through their sensory sensors such as an olfactory sensor, a taste sensor and a tactile sensor; an environmental sensor such as temperature, humidity, illumination intensity and wind speed sensors, etc., as well as a camera or a mic.

A transflective LCD having a transmissive area and a reflective area according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a first substrate, a plurality of pixel electrodes formed on the first substrate and including a plurality of reflective electrodes having protrusion patterns and depression patterns, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a plurality of color filters formed on the second substrate and having a light hole in the reflective area, and a common electrode formed on the color filters. The size of the protrusion patterns in a first reflective area having the light hole is different from that in a second reflective area having no light hole, and the size of the protrusion patterns at the center of the first reflective area may be larger than that in the second reflective area.

An apparatus for driving a plasma display panel including scan electrodes, sustain electrodes, and panel capacitors formed between the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes is disclosed In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a scan integrated circuit for supplying a scan voltage to the scan electrodes, a sustain discharge voltage generator for applying the first voltage and the second voltage to the scan electrodes, and a rising reset waveform generator for applying a rising reset waveform rising from a third voltage to a fourth voltage to the scan electrode. In the plasma display panel according to the present invention, a transistor for applying a rising reset waveform is coupled to a transistor to eliminate a conventional main switch.

In a plasma display device and driving method thereof, a voltage of a power recovery capacitor at rising voltage is established to be higher than a middle voltage of a sustain discharge voltage, and a voltage of the capacitor at falling voltage is established to be lower than the middle voltage thereof in a power recovery circuit. Therefore, the time used for voltage rising and voltage falling in the power recovery operation is reduced.

Disclosed herein is a photoresist composition suitable for coating onto a large substrate and having improved coating uniformity to prevent occurrence of stains, a coating method thereof, a method of forming an organic film pattern using the same, and a display device fabricated thereby. The present invention thus provides a photoresist composition comprising a polymeric resin with an incorporated polysiloxane resin, a photosensitive compound, and an organic solvent. Accordingly, the photoresist composition can be coated onto a large substrate by a spinless coating method, and thereby coating uniformity can be improved, the occurrence of stains such as cumulous stains and resin streaks can be prevented, and the coating rate and quality of a final product prepared using the photoresist composition can also thereby be enhanced.
