Abstract:
In the method of manufacturing a cooking stove its stove top can be equipped with different glass ceramic tops, which each have at least one cooking area, which is heated by a radiant heating body cooperating with a temperature-limiting adjusting device, which limits a surface temperature of the glass ceramic top. To economically and individually adjust the IR transmission of a glass ceramic top with a higher IR transmittance to that of a lower IR transmittance corresponding to that of another glass ceramic top so that they are interchangeable, the glass ceramic top with the higher IR transmittance is provided with an absorbing and/or reflecting coating. When the glass ceramic tops are interchangeable, either can be used in a given cooking stove without changing the expensive temperature-limiting device.
Abstract:
The cooking stove top can be equipped with two different glass ceramic tops with different IR transmission spectra, which each have at least one cooking area, which is heated by a radiant heating body cooperating with a temperature-limiting adjusting device, which limits a surface temperature of the glass ceramic top installed in the cooking stove and/or the surroundings. To economically, variably, and individually adjust the IR transmission of one glass ceramic top with a higher IR transmittance to that of a lower IR transmittance of another glass ceramic top so that they are interchangeable, the glass ceramic top with the higher IR transmittance is provided with an absorbing and/or reflecting coating. When the glass ceramic tops are interchangeable, either can be used in a given cooking stove without changing an expensive temperature-limiting device that is designed for the cooking stove.
Abstract:
A flow regulation control valve for regulating volume flows in pipelines including valve housing with a flow chamber, a control or shut-off member arranged in the flow chamber for setting a desired flow state through the valve, at least one sensor arranged in the vicinity of the flow chamber of the valve housing for sensing a characteristic value of the flow through the flow chamber, an electronic data store or memory for storing specific characteristic values of the housing of the flow regulation control valve, and an evaluation unit which is connected to the sensor and determines the volume flow from the values measured by the sensor with reference to the characteristic values of the valve stored in the data store.
Abstract:
A fireplace is provided that includes a combustion space delimited by a combustion-space lining and accessible through a door or flap. The combustion-space lining is at least partially composed of a ceramic or glass-ceramic material. The fireplace also includes a wall element disposed on a side of the combustion-space lining that faces away from the combustion space so that an intermediate space is formed between the side and the wall element. A heat exchanger or insulating material ca n be positioned in the intermediate space.
Abstract:
A transparent glass or glass ceramic pane is provided that includes a glass or glass ceramic substrate having a thermal expansion coefficient α of less than 4.2 and an infrared radiation-reflecting layer, formed as a single-layer reflection layer and having a refractive index greater than 2.2.
Abstract:
The method produces a reshaped glass-ceramic article by forced reshaping of a flat green glass part during a ceramicizing process with temporarily lowered viscosity due to crystallization heat. To perform the forced reshaping economically the forced reshaping takes place in a continuous oven for ceramicizing and in an oven section in which the viscosity of the green glass part is temporarily lowered as a result of crystallization heat. An apparatus for performing the process is provided in the continuous oven including different active reshaping devices and/or a hollow mold. The method produces glass-ceramic articles with undamaged surfaces corresponding to surfaces produced during the making of the green glass part (smooth or structured, e.g. knobbed).

Abstract:
A substrate, such as a glass, glass ceramic, ceramic or metal substrate, is provided with a thermocatalytically active coating on at least a part of the substrate surface. The thermocatalytic coating contains an inorganic lithium salt or organic lithium-containing compound in an amount that is equivalent to not less than 2 wt. % of lithium ions, based on total coating weight. The thermocatalytic coating has a glass, glass solder or sol-gel matrix in which the lithium salt or organic lithium-containing compound is introduced. Optional barrier and IR-reflecting layers are arranged between the substrate surface and the thermocatalytically active coating.
Abstract:
The heat reflecting arrangement with an improved high heat resistance, e.g. 100 hours at 500° C., includes a substrate, a heat reflecting layer (A) on at least one side of the substrate, which contains indium tin oxide (ITO), and a barrier layer (B) that covers the heat reflecting layer (A), which contains a metal oxide and/or a metal nitride. A fireplace or baking oven with a viewing window having this layer system with the heat reflecting layer is also described. In addition a process for providing the heat reflecting arrangement is described.
Abstract:
An insulating glass element for the at least partial delimitation of a combustion chamber, having at least two viewing panes, which have at least some areas a transparent glass or ceramic-glass material and are arranged spaced apart from each other while leaving an air chamber, and wherein a viewing area is created at least in parts of the air chamber. The two viewing panes are connected with each other by a temperature-resistant adhesive, and the adhesive encloses a viewing area of the viewing panes all around, or a spacing element, which runs around them at least partially, is connected with the two viewing panes in a material-to-material manner, preferably by a glued connection.
