Abstract:
A method, device, and system for establishing a label switching path (LSP) in fast rerouting (FRR) switching are provided, which can ensure that an ingress point and a merge point (MP) refresh path information in time. The method includes that first messages are respectively sent to an ingress point and an MP on an LSP, where the first messages carry information of holding a path refreshing state, so that the ingress point and MP determine the time of holding the path refreshing state according to the information of holding the path refreshing state; and second messages are respectively sent to the ingress point and the MP in the time of holding the path refreshing state, where the second messages carry information of refreshing a path state, so that the ingress point and MP establish the LSP according to the information of refreshing the path state.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to Marasmius androsaceus L.es Fr extract, a compound of formula I, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and to methods for their preparation, pharmaceutical composition comprising the same as well as use of the extract or the compound in the preparation of a medicament for the prevention and/or treatment of hypertension and its related diseases.
Abstract:
A fuel cell is used to create pressure by reverse biasing the fuel cell. A voltage is applied across the fuel cell to change the liquid near the fuel cell into gas, and expand its volume. The volume expansion is used for work function, either to expand a housing or move a piston or the like. By removing the voltage, the fuel cell can regenerate by absorbing the gas to again create energy, thereby retracting the volume expansion. In an embodiment, water may be the electrolyte which is electrolyzed to form hydrogen and oxygen gas, and then recombined into water.
Abstract:
Methods for conducting an assay to detect nucleic acid hybridization are disclosed. In particular, the fabrication of a carbon electrode suited to nucleic acid hybridization detection is described. In some preferred embodiments, a micro array of carbon electrodes is constructed using photolithography. The final step in the photolithography process involves developing a solder mask with an alkaline solution. The alkaline solution oxidizes the carbon surface producing surface carboxylic acid groups. The surface carboxylic acid groups are reacted with EDC or DCC and NHS to produce NHS esters. Immobilization of NeutrAvidin™ onto the electrode surface is effected by reaction with the surface NHS ester groups. A biotinylated probe DNA molecule is then attached to the electrode via binding between the biotin group and the immobilized NeutrAvidin™. The resulting electrode can be used to detect hybridization between the probe DNA and complementary target DNA.
Abstract:
A method is provided for making a molecularly smooth surface, preferably on an electrode of an assay chip. This is desirable because it allows molecules, preferably oligonucloetides, to attach to the electrode surface with greater reliability and packing density than was previously available. Such attachment of molecules to an electrode surface is of particular interest in the field of electrochemical genetic analysis.
Abstract:
Multiplexed analysis of molecular structures of samples. A plurality of sample wells is arranged on a substrate. A plurality of electrodes is fabricated on a first side of the substrate. The electrodes are disposed on the side of the substrate exposed to the sample wells. The electrodes include working electrodes, counter electrodes, and optionally include reference electrodes. At least two of the sample wells includes a plurality of working electrodes. The plurality of electrodes is configured to allow electrochemical analysis of the associated sample wells in a multiplexed fashion. The plurality of electrodes is electrically coupled to an interface to a sample analysis system. The interface to the sample analysis system can include contacts or connections. The sample analysis system controls a signal to the electrodes in a multiplexed fashion and performs the electrochemical analysis.
Abstract:
Devices are provided comprising reflecting channels for directing horizontally a vertical light beam through a multiplicity of streams. The devices provide particular applications in microfluidics, where streams of narrow cross-sectional dimensions are involved. Desirably, channels having 45° walls are provided for directing the beams and where the streams are divided by walls, the walls are at substantially 90°. Methods of fabrication of the devices are provided.
Abstract:
A valve where the valve membrane is made from silicone rubber. Preferably the valve is a microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) thermopneumatic valve. Because of the advantageous physical properties of silicone rubber, the valve provides desirable performance with reasonable power consumption.
