Abstract:
A hot melt wetness indicator composition that includes a water insoluble thermoplastic polymer, an anionic surfactant, a leuco dye, and a component selected from the group consisting of acid, rosin-based tackifying agent, plasticizer and combinations thereof, and is homogeneous is disclosed. The hot melt wetness indicator composition exhibits a color change after contact with water.
Abstract:
A thermoplastic composition is disclosed that includes a thermoplastic polymer and volatile organic compound sorbent particles, and that exhibits a viscosity of no greater than 15,000 centipoise at 177° C.
Abstract:
A composition, an article and a method for the bonding of non-woven substrates is disclosed. The composition includes solid particles comprising one or more polymers which are emulsified, dispersed and or suspended in a fluid carrier. The composition forms a molten blend when energy activated at temperatures in excess of 60° C. (140° F.).
Abstract:
A hot melt adhesive composition that includes at least 40% by weight of a metallocene-catalyzed polybutene-1 selected from the group consisting of polybutene-1 homopolymer, polybutene-1 copolymer, and combinations thereof, the metallocene-catalyzed polybutene-1 including at least 30% by weight, based on the weight of the hot melt adhesive composition, of a metallocene-catalyzed polybutene-1 having a melt flow rate of at least 1000 grams per 10 minutes at 190° C., tackifying agent, and at least 15% by weight wax, the hot melt adhesive composition having a specific gravity of less than 0.95.
Abstract:
The invention includes a hot melt adhesive composition including from 15% by weight to 60% by weight of polyester polymer selected from a group consisting of poly lactic acid based polymer (PLA) and polyhydroxy alkanoate (PHA) based polymer and greater than 30% by weight to 85% by weight, greater than 40% by weight to 85% by weight, or even greater than 50% by weight to 85% by weight of a polyester plasticizer having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) as tested by SEC of no greater than 10,000 Da.
Abstract:
This invention claims hot melt adhesive compositions that can be used to form elastic composites that are useful in disposable absorbent articles. The compositions have good elastic recovery and high peel adhesion at a viscosity of less than about 20,000 cps at 177° C. The low viscosity makes it possible to apply the adhesive at a high line speed and target application to only those areas requiring elastic performance.
Abstract:
This invention claims a disposable article including at least two bonded regions, one of the regions has elastic properties; the other region is different from the first.
Abstract:
The invention features a disposable absorbent article including a top sheet, an elastic hot melt adhesive back sheet, and a positioning adhesive, the top sheet and the elastic hot melt adhesive back sheet, being adhered to each other to form a layered assembly, the positioning adhesive being located on the garment facing surface of the elastic hot melt adhesive back sheet, the elastic hot melt adhesive including from about 30% by weight to about 80% by weight of a thermoplastic polymer and a tackifying agent.
