Abstract: A damping control system for a vehicle having a suspension located between a plurality of ground engaging members and a vehicle frame includes at least one adjustable shock absorber having an adjustable damping characteristic. The system also includes a controller coupled to each adjustable shock absorber to adjust the damping characteristic of each adjustable shock absorber, and a user interface coupled to the controller and accessible to a driver of the vehicle. The user interface includes at least one user input to permit manual adjustment of the damping characteristic of the at least one adjustable shock absorber during operation of the vehicle. Vehicle sensors are also be coupled to the controller to adjust the damping characteristic of the at least one adjustable shock absorber based vehicle conditions determined by sensor output signals.

Abstract: An all terrain vehicle may include a braking system comprising a hydraulic and electric controller unit (HECU) operably coupled to the plurality of ground-engaging members. The HECU may receive sensor information from the one or more sensors and determine whether the all terrain vehicle is encountering a wheel locking event based on the sensor information. The wheel locking event may indicate the plurality of ground-engaging members are unable to turn. The HECU also may determine whether the all terrain vehicle is encountering a turning event based on the sensor information and operate in an HECU intervention mode based on an indication that the all terrain vehicle is encountering the wheel locking event and the turning event. The HECU intervention mode permits the HECU to control the plurality of ground-engaging members based on steering input.

Abstract: A utility vehicle includes a rear suspension assembly which has a trailing arm generally extending longitudinally. The trailing arm includes a joint along a longitudinal length of the trailing arm. Also, the rear suspension assembly includes an upper radius rod extending in a generally lateral direction relative to a centerline of the vehicle. Additionally, the rear suspension assembly includes a lower radius rod extending in a generally lateral direction relative to the centerline of the vehicle. The rear suspension assembly further includes a suspension member configured to control toe of the at least one rear ground-engaging member.
