Abstract: A footrest system for use on a snowmobile. The footrest system includes a footrest that extends from a first proximal end to a second distal end. A fender covers a proximal portion of the footrest to define a toe pocket. A snow evacuation bore passes through the proximal portion of the footrest and the fender. The snow evacuation bore is configured to pass snow out of the toe pocket and through the footrest and fender.

The track sliders are comprised of a first and second retention members for coupling with the slide rail. The retention members are comprised of a plurality of recesses where material is removed for light weighting.

Abstract: A snowmobile including a first warmer configured to generate heat in response to electrical current driven therethrough, and a second warmer configured to generate heat in response to electrical current driven therethrough. A control module is configured to accept a first temperature input from an operator of the snowmobile indicating a desired first temperature of the first warmer, and direct sufficient electrical current to the first warmer to generate heat equal to the first temperature input. The control module is further configured to accept a second temperature input from the operator of the snowmobile indicating a desired second temperature of the second warmer, and direct sufficient electrical current to the second warmer to generate heat equal to the second temperature input.

Abstract: A snowmobile has an engine mounted with an exhaust port facing forwardly. A steering post extends substantially along a longitudinal centerline of the vehicle and over a top of the engine. An exhaust outlet is coupled to exhaust port and projects vertically upwardly to a position higher than the engine, and projecting rearwardly between the steering post and frame members.
