Abstract:
The method of identifying an effective pigment comprises: a first step of imaging a target effective pigment to obtain image data thereof; a second step of subjecting the obtained image data to background processing and extracting image data concerning a region containing one particle of the effective pigment as image data for processing; a third step of extracting image characteristic parameters from the image data for processing; and a fourth step of identifying the target effective pigment, based on the image characteristic parameters of the target effective pigment extracted in the third step, using a pre-prepared database that stores information on various kinds of effective pigments in such a manner as to correlate with the image characteristic parameters of various kinds of effective pigments extracted by conducting the second and third steps.
Abstract:
An approximate blending search system includes a material information database constituted by accumulating names of a plurality of blending materials and property information codes constituted by a plurality of identification codes to which a plurality of pieces of property information on the blending materials are respectively related, a blending composition database constituted by accumulating names of compositions, names, property information codes, and blending quantities of the blending materials constituting the compositions, a prospective composition search unit for approximately searching a corresponding composition from the blending composition data base in accordance with the measurement data input from the input means and/or at least one or more identification codes of the property information codes in an optical blending material, and a display unit for displaying an obtained search result.
Abstract:
A modified-color generation and display method uses a computer graphic. The method includes measuring the spectral reflectance of an original color by using a spectrophotometer, obtaining a modified spectral reflectance for a modified color by changing the measured spectral reflectance, and displaying the computer graphic of the modified color on a monitor.
Abstract:
Characteristic parameters of brilliant materials used for a paint color whose composition is unknown are visually extracted, an image database is retrieved by using the extracted characteristic parameters as keywords, the image of a closest single brilliant material is displayed on a monitor, and the image of the unknown-composition paint color with the image of a single brilliant material to identify the type of a brilliant material used for the unknown-composition paint color.
Abstract:
The following are included: a material information database constituted by accumulating names of a plurality of blending materials and property information codes constituted by a plurality of identification codes to which a plurality of property informations on the blending materials are respectively related, a blending composition database constituted by accumulating names of compositions, names, property information codes, and blending quantities of the blending materials constituting the compositions, prospective composition search means for approximately searching a corresponding composition from the blending composition data base in accordance with the measurement data input from the input means and/or at least one or more identification codes of the property information codes in an optical blending material, and means for displaying an obtained search result.
Abstract:
In the case where a braid (14) is used as a shielding sheet covering wires (10) over their entire length, a distal end portion of the braid (14) is connected to a mounting member (B) connected to the ground (G), thereby achieving an electromagnetic shielding conduction. At this time, the distal end portion (14a) of the braid (14) is spread outward, and is engaged in an annular groove (20b) of a channel-shaped cross-section in a housing (20), and a braid retaining band (22) is wound on an outer surface of the distal end portion (14a) of the braid (14), and is tightened to fasten this distal end portion. As a result, the distal end portion (14a) can be positively and firmly connected to the mounting member (B), and the effective electromagnetic shielding effect can be expected, and the stable electrical characteristics can be obtained, so that the reliability of the connection can be enhanced.
Abstract:
A fiber of a polyester, in which 80% or more of the repeating units are composed of ethylene terephthalate, characterized in that it satisfies the following inequalities:0.16 -11.36.times.d.sup.1/2 +58 4as well as a process for the production and dyeing of a fibrous structure of the polyester fiber.According to the present invention, especially in deep color dyeing at a high temperature, the degree of dye exhaustion is improved, and the utilization efficiency of the dye is enhanced, and moreover, especially in an extremely fine fiber yarn, a polyester fibrous structure having a concentration of a color shade equal to that of an ordinary yarn, which has never been obtained by the conventional process can be provided. In addition, there can be provided a polyester fiber and a fibrous structure thereof that are excellent in coloring properties and color fastness and can be used for various purposes.
Abstract:
An automatic speed control mechanism for a motorcycle that embodies a separately driven vacuum pump for controlling the throttle valve of the motorcycle independently of its induction system vacuum. In addition, an indicator system is provided that indicates when the automatic speed control is operative and further which indicates the preset speed and the actual speed of travel. A manual arrangement is provided for manually overriding the automatic speed control so as to reduce vehicle speed without disabling the automatic speed control device.
Abstract:
Pile fabric having excellent softness and high tear strength which has short fibers planted and adhered to a base with an adhesive, is obtained by applying an adhesive and planting the short fibers to the base, drying or curing the adhesive, and removing at least 5 weight % of the fibers of the base.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for monitoring a plurality of vehicle conditions and providing an indication of unsatisfactory conditions. A warning indicator is provided for each condition and a main warning indicator is also provided for giving warning when any of the sensed condition is not correct. An arrangement is provided wherein all of the warning indicators are illuminated when the main switch of the vehicle is closed so that the operator may ascertain that all warning systems are operational. The individual warning indicators are then operated in sequence and are extinguished if the sensed condition is correct. If any sensed condition is not correct, the main indicator will be illuminated and that particular condition indicator will remain illuminated while the remaining checks are completed. This sequential testing is done only after the vehicle is started or if initiated by the operator. The operator is also provided with an override which permits change in the mode of the main warning indicator once it has been initially operated.
