Abstract:
The subject invention provides a method of creating a database for searching for a paint color having a desired texture, a search method using the database, and systems, programs, and recording mediums for carrying out the method and the search. The method for creating a database includes a step (S11) for storing spectral reflectance data and micro-brilliance data of a plurality of paint colors after associating each spectral reflectance data and each micro-brilliance data with a paint color code; a step (S13) for storing texture evaluation values of sample paint colors after associating the each texture evaluation value with the paint color code; a step (S14) for calculating characteristic quantities of the paint colors expressing textures using the spectral reflectance data and the micro-brilliance data, and storing the characteristic quantities after associating the each characteristic quantity with the paint color code; a step (S15) for carrying out a process for training a neural network using the characteristic quantities and the texture evaluation values of the sample paint colors as training data; and a step (S16) for inputting characteristic quantities of the paint colors other than the sample paint colors into the neural network after the training process, and storing output data after associating the each output data with the paint color code.
Abstract:
The present invention aims at providing motilin-like peptide compounds that maintain the gastrointestinal motility stimulating activity of native motilin and which are adapted to have higher absorbability upon transmucosal administration.Motilin derivatives were designed and synthesized in consideration of the pathway for the degradation of motilin at a site of its transmucosal absorption and the maintenance of motilin's physiological activity and compounds characterized by substitutions for the amino acid at position 21 of native motilin have been found to show higher absorbability upon transmucosal administration and yet maintain the same activity as motilin.
Abstract:
Metallic paint colors are classified and arranged by determining the representative color of any metallic paint color; calculating the hu-tone value of said representative color; generating coating color computer graphics indicating optical properties of said metallic paint color in a prescribed range of angles of observation; and preparing a coating color map by arranging said coating color computer graphics over the hue-tone value of said representative color in a hue-tone chart on the monitor screen of a computer system.
Abstract:
A racquet string includes a core component whose principal component is a synthetic fiber, and a surface resin component, wherein fullerenes or by-product carbon particles derived from manufacture of fullerenes are blended into the surface resin component, and wherein the blended percentage content is in a range of at least 0.01 wt % and at most 5.0 wt % of the entire string. The surface resin component may be formed as a sheath component by coating or by composite spinning. It is preferable that the amount of fullerenes or by-product carbon particles derived from the manufacture of fullerenes that is included in the surface resin component is in a range of at least 0.1 wt % and at most 25 wt %. Thus, the durability of the racquet string is improved without substantially changing its physical properties.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of manufacturing a fabric for ink jet printing and to an ink jet printing method for imparting to the fabric a clear and sharp image free from ink oozing in ink jet printing. Specifically, it relates to a method of manufacturing a fabric for ink jet printing which is characterized in that an aqueous treatment solution having a water-insoluble solvent dispersed or emulsified in an aqueous polymer solution is imparted to the fabric and dried; and to an ink jet printing method characterized in that the ink jet printing is made with the ink jet printing fabric used and that after developing, the pretreatment agent is removed by washing the fabric.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for forming a multi-layer coating film which is characterized by applying a base coating (A) which contains a phosphoric acid group-containing resin composition, and, without curing the same, applying a leafing type aluminum flake pigment-containing metallic composition (B), and, after curing both of said base coating (A) and said metallic composition (B), applying, on the coated surface of said metallic composition (B), a composition (C) which contains a phosphoric acid group-containing non-aqueous dispersion which comprises polymer particles dispersed in a solution of macromolecular dispersion stabilizer dissolved in an organic solvent, said polymer particle being a particle of polymer which is composed of a phosphoric acid group-containing polymerizable unsaturated monomeric unit as a constituent component, and applying a clear coating (D). With use of said method, there can be improved interlayer adhesivity between a metallic coating film, which is formed from a leafing type aluminum flake pigment, and another coating film adjacent thereto, without reducing the excellent effects such as dense metallic feeling of the coated surface, a chrome plating-like finish, and strong brightness feeling and strong flip-flop properties, which are produced by such a metallic coating film.
Abstract:
An aluminum alloy for sliding materials consists, by weight, of Si of not less than 8% but less than 15%, 1 to 5% Cu, 0.1 to 2% Mg, 1 to 6% Sn, and optionally 0.5 to 3% Pb, and the balance Al and incidental impurities. This aluminum alloy for sliding materials exhibits high toughness without affecting a sliding property, an anti-seizure property, a castability and a machinability.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for simultaneously detecting and comparing a plurality of upper patterns indicative of Gray code patterns and having greater pattern pitches and a plurality of lower patterns indicative of pure binary code patterns and having smaller pattern pitches to correct the upper pattern detection data and thereby detect an absolute position. An absolute position detecting apparatus includes a code plate formed with a plurality of upper patterns and a plurality of lower patterns which are arranged radially along the periphery of a rotating body; a mask arranged at a position opposite to the code disc and having a plurality of upper slits and a plurality of first slits and a plurality of second slits which are formed to correspond to the lower patterns and having a 90-degree phase difference therebetween; a laser light source arranged at a position on the opposite side of the code plate to the mask to illuminate the code plate to form pattern projection images on the mask; a light detector for detecting the pattern projection images to detect positional alignment between the patterns and the slits; and data processing circuit for correcting detected data of the upper patterns by referring to those of the lower patterns.
Abstract:
An automatic speed control mechanism for a motorcycle that embodies a separately driven vacuum pump for controlling the throttle valve of the motorcycle independently of its induction system vacuum. In addition, an indicator system is provided that indicates when the automatic speed control is operative and further which indicates the preset speed and the actual speed of travel. A manual arrangement is provided for manually overriding the automatic speed control so as to reduce vehicle speed without disabling the automatic speed control device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ink applying method for obtaining desired sharp patterns while preventing bleeding and an ink composition therefor, in applying a low viscosity liquid to a polymer product such as fabric in the form of droplets according to the ink jet or spray process. As a treating solution there is used a solution incorporating a water-soluble or water-dispersible material which contains --OSO.sub.3 M group or --SO.sub.3 M group as a hydrophilic group in which M is a monovalent metal, ammonium or amine, and a fiber structure is pretreated with a chemical for coagulating the said hydrophilic group, whereby good bleeding preventing effect and deep shading effect even against markedly bleeding fiber structures such as thin fabrics as well as level dyeing effect of colored portions can be attained without impairing the injection characteristic. Sharp patterns equal or superior to conventional prints can be obtained.
